"Here for Valentines with my wife, but will think twice about coming here again. We have been here several times before and usually had good food and good service, but for Valentines both were lacking. Arrived about 5.45 for an early evening meal with the restaurant about a quarter full. We were seated near to the door and with it being a cold night my wife asked if we could move further into the restaurant. the girl who was looking after the bookings had a quick look around and said that some of the other tables were already allocated and we could not be moved. problem 1) After looking at the menu we decided on the Nachos with beef to start and then I had the Five Boroughs burger and my wife had the Steak. we also ordered a large wine and a Morretti. When the wine arrived to both of us it seemed smaller that a large measure so we asked the waitress who confirmed it was a large wine which we took her word for. problem 2) Then we were served the nachos and found everything on the meal cold and very little beef compared to what we'd had in the past. problem 3) Next we got our main meals with the steak still being quite nice but the burger was very disappointing, a very flat small burger, a small piece of coated chicken, a small slice of chorizo, with a piece of lettuce on a dry bun discovered later that there should also have been avacado and cheese but they had been missed off the meal). problem 4) After a while we ordered some more of the same drinks with the wine being the same size so we thought the girl had been correct in what she had told us. We ate our meals and decided to go to the Elephant pub for another drink as it was still early Liberty Tavern still with lots of empty tables where we could have been moved to). We went to the Elephant and I ordered a large wine for my wife which were surprised to see was almost twice the size of what she had been given in the Liberty. Very disappointing to see what was once a good restaurant going down hill fast. We have since been in touch with the Liberty Tavern to register our complaint ."

Becky and Erin are the best! They totally looked after us! Food here is amazing we can’t fault it at all! Quality is incredible and the place is lovely. But the thing that makes a place is the service. Bang on liberty tavern. Bang ON

What a lovely afternoon we had today on the rooftop.. amazing views of our wonderful city. Pizza’s fab! Halloumi fries are to die for!! Drizzled in sweet chilli….mmmmmm Curly fries .. sweet potato fries gorgeous… we was fussed over and very well looked after … thanks liberty’s

Came in for my 21st birthday meal with 17 friends and the service was amazing. Our waitress, Niamh, was very attentive making sure we all had drinks and anything we needed and our food was amazing. Arrived early in the evening for a table of 5. we ordered a bottle of chardonnay wine . We did not check the wine list as usually it is always around £20 well we nearly dropped through the floor £43 for 1 bottle and i have bought this wine before for £9. The meal was nothing special and we feel really ripped off . Make sure if you go check the prices first .

My husband and I visited Liberty restaurant yesterday. We enjoyed squid, tempura vegetables, belly pork, and fillet steak - every bite was delicious! The salt and pepper chips were the best I've ever had. Our server, Molly, was lovely, friendly, and very good at her job. I've been disappointed with the food in Liverpool recently, but Liberty has restored my faith. I will definitely be back for more fabulous food and service.

We went to this restaurant with friends and found it to be a lovely and clean establishment. The staff were charming, friendly, and attentive. We ordered the fish and chips, which were delicious, and the desserts were delightful. The service was first-class and the atmosphere was charming. The only issue was that there was a draft when the door was opened, even though we were seated in the back near the private dining room. Despite this, we will definitely be returning in the future. On September 11th, me and 11 of my friends went to Liberty for drinks to celebrate our friend's 21st birthday. We arrived at 7:30pm but didn't get served until 8pm. Despite ordering drinks and food, our food didn't arrive until after 9:30pm, even after asking multiple times for an estimate. Once we received our drinks, no one checked in to see if we wanted more. At 10pm, we requested two bottles of wine, which arrived without glasses. One of our group members had to go to the bar to ask for glasses. I have visited this venue twice since COVID reopening. The first time was in mid-July. I was informed by the door staff you had to be booked to a table there was one girl in front of me. After waiting 10 minutes the manager (or person in charge of booking in) arrived at the desk I had watched him walk aimlessly around the restaurant for ten minutes ignoring the people waiting. The person on arriving wandered off with the girl in front of me in the line. He did not return. After waiting 15 minutes, the door staff apoligised and suggested I take one of the empty tables outside. After waiting a further 10 minutes without sign of a waiter i left. Total time wasted 30 minuites. I visited the bar...
