"Visited last Saturday. Looked clean. Spent a while looking over the menu and discussed it with owner. My wife’s dish was described by the owner as something everyone eats regularly in Thailand. I hope they don’t eat overly salted mince meat without the promised chilli’s. My red curry was thinner than soup, had virtually no chicken and vegetables. The portion size was also very poor. We hadn’t had breakfast and were hungry so ate it (luckily there wasn’t much to eat). Very poor, perhaps they do a good English breakfast!"

Clean but slightly untidy café in Ponty indoor market just 5 minutes from Catherine Street car park. Menu lists 20-odd Thai dishes plus Welsh café staples such as bacon, eggs, toast etc. I had Thai green curry with chips and it was bursting with flavour and absolutely delicious! Keep up the excellent work and see you soon

Was going about rushing here and there this morning and feeling famished, I drifted subconsciously towards Ponty indoor market where I was thinking of grabbing a quick fresh roll maybe with a bit of home made ham, anyhow, going in into the market, I saw The Thai Cafe thought would give it a try. What a delicious discovery! Had two dishes! Can’t wait to go back again! Excellent affordable food Great!
