"Went to my sons 50th birthday meal. Arrived at 7 o’clock...unbooked walk in customers would struggle to find a seat....very busy....layout was excellent and the staff very attentive and helpful....so why only 4 stars instead of 5....the fish was excellent, cooked to perfection but the chips were hard...mostly un-eatable, and not that presentable....harsh I know but not impressed. The 3 strawberry ice cream desert was of poor taste...sorry but it just tasted and looked like vanilla...I really would have preferred to give it 5 stars as I don’t like not to...but there is definitely room for improvement to go with the organisation and waiting staff input. All in all though a very enjoyable night out."

"The food was just “OK.” The pizza sauce had the texture and taste of plain passata, and it seemed like they may have run out of salt and seasoning. However, the dough, bread, and pasta were quite good. With a few improvements, this place could easily stand out from the competition. The service was good, and the prices were reasonable, but a little more flavor would significantly enhance the overall experience. I plan to return at some point in hopes of a more flavorful meal, but I’m not in a hurry to do so."

"There seems to be a very mixed bunch of reviews. The bad ones referring to delivery time rather than the food itself. This was my last night in the area so thought I would give it a go. Ordered online for a collection. The chap...who served me was very friendly. Picked up my order and headed back to the hotel. As you look back through my reviews you will see that I am a mixed grill and Shashlik fan. I would like to think I know a good mixed grill when I come across one. My benchmarks are Southall for the mixed grill and Liverpool street for a Shashlik. These I would say are the gold standard. Both dishes from Taste of Bengal lacked any real flavour. They were the right colour but tasted really bland to the extent if you closed your eyes you would have no idea what you were eating. Such a shame as the first impressions of the place was really positive. I am giving this place an average, but only just. I would like to try some of their curries next time as these have better reviews. Perhaps next time."

"The pasta dish I had with shin beef was totally tasteless lacked salt pepper herbs garlic my partner had pizza that looked cooked but was not crispy on the bottom had to eat it with a knife fork as if it was picked up as it is meant to be eaten you would have been wearing in don't bother save your money go to the worst chippy you can find we were in 30mins in that time we got served drinks ordered served food eaten paid left this is fast food on an expensive level"

"Always had indian food from here,but if you order a biryani now and don't like the veg curry sauce they charge you £3 extra for another sauce,which they have never done in the past,so can be quite costly if ordering 4 biryani and want 4 plain korma sauce ,£12 extra,also don't charge you any cheaper for not having the veg curry sauce. Curry sauce tray only ever half full,and food only luke warm. Time to try a different indian Service: Take out"
