We have eaten here many times. Food consistently very good. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Always busy and need to book to ensure you have a table. Recommend.

Ils offrent une excellente cuisine française authentique et un très bon café frais! Je suis venu ici en vacances à Mareuil et j'y suis presque allé une fois par jour en raison de leur excellent café frais!

Wonderful food all freshly cooked by Isobel the chef. Excellent value set menu proven popular by many locals frequenting Les Promenades for lunch. Can't recommend it enough. You must book to ensure a table . enjoy

Le restaurant semble simple dans un petit village, mais la cuisine traditionnelle française est entièrement préparée avec des ingrédients frais, faits maison, de haute qualité et en grandes portions. Exactement ce que vous recherchez lorsque vous êtes en France!

We have visited this fabulous little bar/restaurant many times now either for drinks or meals. It's been excellent every time. The staff a wonderful and the food excellent. The 13.50 euro three course meal with wine is seriously good value and great quality. Fabulous atmosphere with a real buzz about the place. Can't wait to go there again even if just for a coffee.

Nous avons visité ce restaurant avec notre groupe de conversation français en janvier et avons décidé d'y retourner avec des amis. À ces deux occasions, le restaurant était occupé, il faut donc absolument réserver. Bien que nous ayons pris le repas du midi, il y avait au moins un choix...d'entrées principales. J'ai perdu le compte du nombre de desserts disponibles. Le vin était inclus dans le prix

We have been at Les Promenades several times during our stays in Dordogne and have never been disappointed. The restaurant is run by a very professional and experienced lady chef. Menus change frequently but always rely on fresh products. At c. 14 € the Menu du jour with two options for starters, main course and dessert is excellent value but there are also more expensive menus and a la carte options. In summer give preference to tables outside the restaurant to enjoy tree shade. Regardless of the period in the year booking is preferable as the place has become increasingly popular with local people and tourists.

La nourriture ici variait de vraiment bonne à pas si bonne. La carbonara était fantastique, les frites étaient très bonnes aussi tout comme l'omelette. Cependant, la cuisse de poulet rôti du menu semblait avoir été sortie du four depuis un certain temps, et le gratin de courgettes était affreux! Ça ne ressemblait en rien aux délicieuses photos de gratin frais de ces critiques! Le service était correct, pas aussi amical que certains mais pas désagréable non plus. Étant donné la bonne qualité de certains plats, j'aurais tendance à attribuer le poulet et le gratin à une mauvaise journée, ce qui est décevant, mais je donnerais probablement une autre chance si je suis dans le coin.

New Year's Eve, we weren't sure we'd find anything open - and we decided to lunch here after seeing the "open" sign. What a delightful surprise. Mareuil is a tiny ville, but this restaurant was reasonable and the food was very good. There was a large-ish party of French folks (a family) and table of four Brits. The restaurant is one side and the bar is the other (of two sides). My husband had the entrecot, fries and a salad, and i had the duck, potatoes and salad - and we shared a small split of red wine.
