Le Refuge des Brochaux

J'ai vécu une expérience de petit-déjeuner spectaculaire dans ce restaurant. Je suis venu ici deux fois récemment et j'ai été très satisfait.

Le Ben&Florentine près du Panama ne me déçoit jamais. Ce n'est peut-être pas de la haute cuisine, mais les portions sont généreuses et la qualité de la nourriture est bonne pour le prix que l'on paie.

Small and very popular mountain restaurant. One of our best meals - simple well cooked, stew, lasagne, steak. Excellent deserts. All went down well Not bad price - and busy on Monday even though few people out on mountain.

A regular haunt for us on our week away for a mid morning break for a cafe au lait. Service is efficient and friendly. Only ate here once and the ham sandwich was exactly what was described. Location is superb and great for people watching,

Our final meal at the end of a 3 day ski. Food was superb. Steak was cooked to perfection. Beef stew in crepe looked amazing. Wine very reasonably priced for mountain. Mind your head in the eves, though. Crime brûlée to finish. We'll be back.

Great place located at the intersection going to Switzerland. There are three restaurants in the area - we've been to two (this one definitely the best).They accept Swiss francs too (useful for us as we were on there for the day. Polite staff. We left our bag there (d'oh) and they kept it and we're welcoming went we went to collect.

Found this little place tucked away in the valley while skiing.Lovely sitting outside in the sun, but we were soon cold (it was sub-zero), and we were accommodated indoors within a private dining area of the restaurant (we were a party of 10). Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food of good quality and plentiful.Would recommend...

We chanced upon this place six years ago during our first trip to Avoriaz and were blown away by the beef Bourguignon. Six years later we are back at Avoriaz and of course had to come back to our favorite place. Did not disappoint. Also had French onion soup that was delish and a lemon tarte that was to die for. All very reasonably priced. Soooooo gooooood!

Madame runs a tight ship and works hard to honor reservations, find tables for both groups and individuals, despite it being very crowded at lunch time. The waiters and servers are very friendly, dynamic and efficient, without giving the impression that they would like your table. English spoken, too. Food is typical ski-fare - excellent (hot and tasty) soup, outstanding pancakes. Just the place to dine and bask in the sun between ski runs. Well situated for returning to La Mossette or Avoriaz on the télésiège des Brochaux.
