"I very rarely go drinking in Covent Garden, and when I have in the past it has generally been with ‘outoftowners’ and we tend to end up in places like Browns or All Bar One that we know are reliable. This is one reason why when I read about the Lamb Flag in an article on the best literary pubs in London, I put it on the List. I thought it would be good to have a nice pub in the bag, for the few times we’re in the area and we don’t know where to go. Another reason was the fact that it sounded like such a lovely pub. It is one of London’s oldest pubs; there has been a drinking establishment on that spot in some form or other since 1772 and it claims that Dickens used to be a...read more"

This pub is really full of atmosphere! We found it while we were walking around in Covent Garden, and it was such a luck! We had our meal upstairs, eating two wonderful and huge cheeseburgers. Come there and have a look!

It's amazing when you are able to discover hidden treasures in the city. An acquaintance recommended visiting the Lamb and Flag pub in Covent Garden. I'd been there before on weekdays but this person specifically told me to go on a Sunday afternoon, the t Voir le carte

about this pub that has been thrown away from the main roads. it is a charming place and the open fire creates a special and comfortable atmosphere. we had the sweet cake and the fish and chips. the cake was perfect, while the fish and chips were part of a very generous delicious. they also serve here a large selection of drinks.

although this place is counted as a gastropub, this place for alcohol is much more popular. nevertheless, eating is really good. we had a sort of starter and tried the steak and ale cake, and the sausage and mash cake. the cakes were really good. it did not come to dessert, as the kitchen was closed at that time. the ambiente is cozy and the service is friendly.

I was invited here for an evening by a friend who happens to be a regular customer. He mentioned that Dickens used to be a regular here, and that this is one of the oldest pubs in London, and has been around for about 250 years. The place was small but cosy, and since it is tucked away in a pedestrian side street, there is a lot of space outside for customers to spill over into. There is a dining room upstairs with a good menu and decent food, but closes early for some strange reason.Definitely worth a visit if you happen to be in Covent Garden. Voir le carte

one of the largest historical pubs londons, who have preserved their original charm in a lanish style of pale gardens since 1772. that is a multi-stage pub where the party goes down and dinning up. the interieur is dark with cozy Artdeco look brown leather, dark wood and green fabrics. the personal is stunning, easy to earth, real, efficient and so friendly! I loved this authentic British quality when visiting london and it is highest at lamb and flag!. as it was a Sunday and our last day in london, we ordered the traditional Sunday roast: perfectly cooked bark with a thin consistency gravur, bratkartoffeln and vegetables with the best...read more

Oh, what can I say about Lamb Flag in Covent Garden?! It is tucked in a little corner of a mostly pedestrianfriendly alley, and you would always find Londoners enjoying ales and sharing great timezzz outside this awesome drinking hole. The smell of yeast (easily mistaken for some other smell) makes you realize that you are at the right place if you are looking for a true English pub atmosphere. Lamb Flag is the familiar stop of many West End pub crawls, and very rarely disappoints. They have a second floor for roasts and lunch if you fancy it, but within a five minute walk from the Covent Garden station, Lamb Flag could be anybody's daily stop between work and home.Service...read more

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
