"Not having other alternatives for a dinner as the city is very small and all the other restaurants were close we had to eat in La Taverna. The food is not as bad, but the service is a disaster. There was a dog in the restaurant as big as a pony; to get the bottle to see where the wine is coming from was an act and then the owner was saying that they are not accepting credit cards as she doesn't want to pay the credit card charges and we have to go to next ATM to cash in from credit card and pay in cash.Not expecting this kind of service in a city which is fully live from tourism, but looks like being a monopolist is spoiling some of the restaurants owners.Quite disappointing..."

We have been to Meersburg for a number of years and we have used this restaurant a number of times, and the food use to be good quality Italian, but it has gone down hill, the food is awful. It took forever for two pizzas to come and in the meantime we saw other tables sending their pasta back. When trying to get the bill at the end, the waitress was more interested in looking after her nails then actually looking after the customers
