"we first grabbed a fast pizza and a few drinks at lunchtime, shortly after the arrival in hamburg and it was very nice with hardly anyone in there. we returned the following evening and were completely abandoned by all the experience. we ordered. an anti pasti plate for two that should consist of several cured meats like all Italian restaurants, but this had the smallest piece cut bark meat and a huge plate of tinted vegetables. we left the majority of that she had paid 15 € for it and were met with a laugh in agreement when we told the waitress that it was not an anti pasti. we both ordered a bolognese and a garlic pasta dish. both were bland and clearly not freshly cooked. the service was bad and they would expect a few free drinks or a discount from the bill to be offered if the customers obviously do not enjoy it. prego lacked an Italian authenticity that we spent 70 € for pleasure."

Close to our hotel and open later than many of the places around it. Able to handle our large family group. OK food. Service mediocre. Good atmosphere for our group which was a little noisy.

I had pizza for lunch, taste was great, service professional and friendly. price reasonable, although I have eaten larger pizzas, I still think in standard. great location, for sunny day terrace is beautifully situated in the natural shade with sharing on the sun.

Service was friendly and helpful, but the food was below average. Even the restaurant admitted it was not real Italian food, more of a German interpretation of what Italian food should be. Everything was just bland. The wine was nice, but I would not eat...here again.

high hopes for hunger. good starter ”mozzarella e pomodoro”, but that's what it's about. cesar had no brotkränze, pasta aglio e olio and hawaii pizza was missing taste. limonade ”raspberry-thyme” was good, but do not taste thymian. the service was good, but very friendly. the hunger is gone, but will not come again.

La Prego is located in the busy shopping area a prominent convenient location. I visited for an early lunch on a weekday. My order of a pesto spaghetti came with freshly prepared herb sauce and al dente pasta pipping hot. The dinning room is pretty...large with colour deco and paintings. And the bill is at reasonable price. Recommend for a quick meal or group gathering.

Getting late into Hamburg was making it difficult to find a restaurant that was open. Thanks goodness La Prego was still open for another hour when we stumbled upon it. The restaurant has both in and outside seating, though it was a bit cool so...we sat inside. Good lively atmosphere, prompt service and great food at cheap-eat prices costing the five of us an average of €20 each including appetizers and drinks. A word of warning, don't order more than one pizza bread between 2-3 people, they are huge!!

we went to an early dinner, but there were few other people in the restaurant, even if we were in the middle of the evening meal. the service was terrible, the wine was spited and not cleaned up, the dishes were picked on the table without care, the waitress spent... most of their time talking to each other. the eating appeared surprisingly fast, in which did so fast that I suspect that it had 't had much care and attention in the kitchen, but was only heated again or previously partially boiled. the taste was acceptable, but fundamental. some natives came in, but everyone we saw had only one drink or at most one cure like a pasta.

We visited this small 'Italian ' Restaurant last week on our first night in Hamburg. It looked pleasing from the outside, prices seemed reasonable so we thought we 'd give it a try. My wife and I both had pizza 's. My wife ordered the Pizza Prosciutto and...Fungi whilst I ordered the Pizza Frutti Di Mare. They were OK, but that 's all. Having enjoyed the summer on the shores of Lake Garda and the City of Verona eating in genuine Italian restaurants everyday we were a little disappointed and the pizza 's fell well short of anything we had eaten in Italy.
