"We decided to check out this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was not very inviting. There were no menus displayed on the walls for us to peruse before approaching the counter. The woman who served us was rather rude and abrupt. When my husband asked for a juice or smoothie, she seemed uninterested. We also inquired about getting a salad box with a mix of chicken flavors, but the options were not clearly explained to us. It was confusing not having anything labeled. Additionally, they offered margarine instead of butter for the baguette, which we did not like. The prices were quite high, with our total coming to £20 for 2 chicken salads and 2 juices. We felt we could have gotten a better deal at Subway or Greggs. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience and will not be returning or recommending this place to others."

This restaurant is a popular choice for baguettes, salads, and baked potatoes. They offer a good selection of fillings and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I’ve been visiting la mina since I were a child and nothing has changed. Massive range of baguette fillings, salad fillings and more. The spicy chicken and chicken tikka in a baguette taste insane

Food here is good and well priced. Nice customisation in your order but a lack of good vegetarian options and a bland falafel means I can't award five stars. I would however eat there again and be very satisfied with the service.

Visited last week. No social distancing- there are marking on the floor and a rope but they were calling customers to the front (like Subway used to do when they were busy) to place an order when others were still being served, couraging/forcing customers to bunch up and mix.

La Mina has a great selection of salad and baguette fillings including different flavour chicken, potato salad, pasta dishes, lamb and mint, coleslaw, hummus and so much more. La mina is very popular in the Roath area especially in the lunch time rush. Food always tastes amazing and is great value for money. It’s defiantly a must visit if you fancy a baguette In Cardiff as they are defiantly the best.

While visiting family back home, it was a no-brainer to revisit this restaurant that I remember as offering great value and delicious food. However, my partner and I were disappointed with our experience today. We ordered the salad box meal deal for £8.30 and received only a few bites in a large container. It seemed like everyone else's meals in front of us were much more filling, so it may be a case of appearance influencing portion size.

Everyone can make a sandwich lets face it, the reason you go out to buy one is because it's suppose to be better. but depending on who you get at Minas will have a huge impact on whether your getting delicious or very below par, my past two visits Iv had the same moody rushed woman who has ripped wholes in the bread, put a pointless skim of butter on one side of bread then filled it so loosely with dry chicken the entire thing isn't glued together, falls apart on this occasion went straight in my bin and I went to Sainsbury's and bought one there. Never ever returning.. she needs replacing
