"We’re from California and our B&B hostess at Casale Valleverde, Sylvana, recommended Origini, specifically Andrea the chef. We had eaten at a Michelin 1 star the night before, but even they could not compare to Andrea’s culinary skill and creativity. He is young, passionate and determined, and such a host. He arrived at our table and explained both the dishes on his menu and his culinary philosophy, and his vision for his restaurant. He uses traditional Italian dishes for example, risotto, carpaccio, bagnacauda and puts a Calabrian twist, using local (and some Puglianese foods e.g. beef . ‘Simple’ he calls it; ‘scrumptious’ we said. Risotto used Sibari rice, and local Pollino National Park black truffles decorated the Puglianese beef carpaccio. (The truffle and shaver were left at the table to use at will!! . A buffalo mozzarella (twice creamed served with wonderfully flavored local tomatoes was a starter. Andrea, who is from Castrovillari, has returned (thus ‘Origini’ to his roots from chef travels in Japan, Copenhagen and London. He wants to celebrate Calabrian cuisine and share his inspiration with Calabrians and visitors to the region. He is way too young to be so accomplished: he himself should be celebrated for his talent. Do not miss Origini!"

"Pizza da asporto senza glutine...favolosa!! Locale molto curato, persino l'accortezza di sgabelli per chi attende l'asporto. Menù chiari ed essenziali... sinonimo di un'offerta mirata alla qualità e che non metta alla prova memoria e attenzione per ricordare le pizze da confrontare dopo pagine e pagine di offerta. Prodotti di qualità!! Inclusa l'offerta senza glutine, senza lattosio e vegana...poter ordinare una pizza con mozzarella senza latte è stata un'esperienza singolare!! L'impasto senza glutine ha la farina di grano saraceno... che sia un mix preparato o elaborato dal pizzaiolo merita i complimenti per l'accuratezza della scelta. Davvero un locale piacevole sotto ogni punto di vista"

"Ristorante dalla calda atmosfera in cui ci si sente come a casa grazie all'accoglienza e al sorriso del personale. Siamo stati davvero coccolati. Il menu offre una scelta vastissima e ha anche molti piatti vegetariani e vegani, molto entusiasta di ciò. Riso ottimo, presentazione bellissima, ingredienti di qualità e dal sapore fresco. Offerta vasta anche di vini. Buonissimi i noodles con frutti di mare e verdure. Apprezzo molto le bacchette di acciaio anzichè di legno, lavabii, per evitare gli sprechi. La formula all you can eat è davvero conveniente e la qualità è alta. A fine pasto si riceve un caratteristico biscotto della fortuna, un gesto stupendo! E sono rimasta estasiata dalle grappe homemade offerte a fine pasto: grappa di bambù e grappa di rosa. Mi sono sentita a casa tra sorrisi e gentilezza e sicuramente ci tornerò!"

"Very good restaurant, which has been delivering high standard service for quite a few years by now. This time we had, as a first dish, “gnocchi al pesto rosso”, a kind of dumpling pasta savored with “nduja” (a spicy red sauce typical of this region), basil, nuts, served on a bed of crusty cheese. It was excellent, the spicy sauce beautifully mixed with the other ingredients, so that the taste of the pasta itself could be clearly appreciated. As a second dish, it came a beef “tagliata” (slices of medium-roasted beef meat), savored with a nduja-based sauce. It was good, the meat was of a good quality, although its level of excellence remained below the one of the first dish. The above was accompanied by a glass of local red; a wide selection of wines was available. The menu was not very long but included quite a number of dishes that had been specially designed and can’t be found in other restaurants. The service staff was prompt and attentive all the time, as so often happens in this restaurant. Environment was quiet and elegant, making this place a great choice for invitations. Prices are not cheap, but I believe they are in line with the high standard of the place."

"Con molto rammarico torno in questo locale dopo anni e scopro che è radicalmente peggiorato. Dopo una lunga attesa di 30 min. tra l'altro con pochissime persone ai tavoli si degnano di venire al tavolo. A prescindere dalla limitatissima scelta, dopo aver chiesto carne ben cotta e ti arriva al sangue. insomma o la mangi o è così. con il risultato che uno ha mangiato e l'altro no.i prezzi sono lievitati non si può pagare 80 euro due fettine di carne due patate e un pò di prosciutto con gnocco fritto,tra l'altro crudo. io ho vissuto in emilia e neanche a rimini ci sono questi prezzi. non so se si sono accorti i gestori che viviamo in calabria, non in emilia."
