The details in our dinner were impeccable and the food was excellent. Not sure if they offer food to non-guests but if they do, then a stop there is a must.

We have really enjoyed this restaurant with its excellent kitchen. Every dish looks like a small painting and a super taste. If you like surprises that taste really good instead of huge portions than this is the place to go.I would gladly return to this restaurant!

We had diner/lunch here several times, and we always have been very satisfied. Last visit in August 2016 and it was beyond awful. Raw fish (sole), beef totally overcooked. It looked like the chef was absent and replaced by someone totally unfit to run a kitchen.Anyhow, looking at quality/price we would not likely visit again or refer this restaurant in the near future.

This is a hotel and restaurant of the highest standard in out of the way Saint Germain Sur Ay. Everything is a joy from reception through to the end of the meal. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the menu is a delight. The standard is set the owners who are an English chef and his French wife who runs the place. If you find yourself in this rejoin you will not be disappointed if you manage to secure a table for dinner.

Yet again a brief overnight stay here but still up to scratch. The rooms minimalist and boutique in style. Simple but comfortable.We had the half board option and had yet another superb dinner. Three courses of chef/patron Mike's amazing cuisine, beautifully presented.Half of me doesn't want to share this so we can keep it for ourselves. We stayed here in our way back to Cherbourg. The hotel is hidden away in a small village close to the sea. The setting is very picturesque. This small hotel is very comfortable, charming and well appointed. Our room was large, clean and everything was in good condition. We stayed half board which came with a three-course fixed menu which was lovely. There is an extensive wine list. Breakfast was equally good although fresh coffee (rather than a thermos) would have been a bonus. Be aware if you are a light sleeper that the church clock chimes every quarter of an hour throughout the night. We would return.

Nous avons séjourné ici en revenant à Cherbourg. L'hôtel est caché dans un petit village proche de la mer. Le cadre est très pittoresque. Ce petit hôtel est très confortable, charmant et bien aménagé. Notre chambre était grande, propre et tout était en bon état. Nous étions en demi-pension, avec un menu fixe à trois plats qui était charmant. Il existe une vaste carte des vins. Le petit déjeuner était tout aussi bon, même si du café frais (plutôt qu'un thermos) aurait été un bonus. Sachez si vous avez le sommeil léger que l'horloge de l'église sonne tous les quarts d'heure tout au long de la nuit. Nous reviendrions.

The owner recommended the Demi Pension (Half Board) as being good value for residents but we preferred the Carte as we both wanted different dishes and a greater selection. My wife started with the Terrine de Filet de Caille & de Lapin cèpes et noisettes, gros croûtons comme une biscuit, crème légère au Miso, petite garniture de pickles (quail breast and Rabbit Terrine with porcini and hazelnuts and pickles garnished with light cream). I chose the Marinières de coquillages, bouillons de carottes de sables légèrement crémé, amandes farcies (a selection of shellfish in various sauces and stuffings). We had spent 6 weeks enjoying French wines so nostalgically my wife selected a decent Marlborou... Voir le carte
