La Contessa - Menu

a regular target for our annual business visit in frankfurt. a short walk away from the fair is this place always busy, which is a good sign of itself. the staff is friendly and helpful, eating is also great.

good place for a quick lunch, popular with the business world. we thought here was a good pizza and a very nice place of antipasti. friendly staff, a little distracted sometimes due to the amount of customers.

that is an Italian restaurant in family style. very large and extensive menu. the weeping was noticeable where eating is quite typical. the pizza was not great from my sight, as the brot was a bit too crispy. anyway, good location to connect with friends.

We arrived in Frankfurt on a Friday evening and left the Marriott hotel looking for somewhere to eat nearby, As a vegetarian, Italian food is usually a safe bet. We found this place by accident and were glad we did. Our food was excellent and...service was friendly and helpful. We thought that prices were reasonable.

Frankfurt is a bit of a dump, and one our least favourite destinations in the entire world. There is absolutely Zero chance of London bankers wanting to move there! However, we still have to go there on business, and when we do, La Contessa gets...to serve us dinner. Its ambiance and menu are well above average for the city centre.

Restaurant is conveniently located close to our Hotel (Adagio) and others (Maritim, Hilton). Although we arrived there pretty late, coming from the airport for the show FormNext, we were warmly welcomed and served well by a smily lady. Good and genuine Italian food. Old style...place, but with volume and space between tables. Getting rare nowadays !

Near the Messe. Few minute walk from The Marriott. Look to make a reservation. Not a big place so if there is something going on at the Messe it will fill up quickly. Had the pizza and it was quite good. Had the vegetarian which...came with huge veggies on it. Also had the salad which was fresh and tasty. The place was packed so the service was a bit slow. This was the reason for no dessert either as we had been there for quite some time and it was getting late. Would come back though.

I have to preface that the meal just before we at here was in Venice, IT at a small bed n breakfast with home cook 5 course meal, which was an amazing meal. Overall, I wasn’t impressed by the quality of the food or service....When we dined here, there are only a few tables full with only one waiter. The waiter was not very interested in working. He was not attentive at all to any of the customers. The food was also average at best. I personally don’t think we’ll be eating here anymore.

there are many great Italian restaurants in frankfurt, but this is a warm and welcoming standout at the fair/Maritim/Marriott opposite only a short walk from these places. the portions are huge according to European standards and the ingredients are fresh and artistically prepared. the house red wine. is a reasonable and good enough toskan, which goes admirably with eating. we really enjoyed the two great antipasti and vitello tonnato plus arugala salat -ample for 8 hungry people. and we loved the spaghetti frutti di mare, pappardelle with bark and tagliatelle with wild funghi...3 order for 8. the main courses ended us from a quantity, but no one complained. and the grilled octopus, tagiata...
