"We arrived in Cochem in the late afternoon but at the recommendation of our Host we walked across the bridge to this establishment. We choose a table on the patio looking up at the castle on the hill. We both order the Lingunie Carbonara and a glass of white wine. The plate of pasta put before us was wonderful looking, but with my first bite I was in heaven. It was so amazing. The food, wine and view made for a perfect first night in this charming town. We highly recommend them."

Just like the title said...okay if nothing else is open. Just average food. It was crowded and noisy. The only noisy restaurant in Germany..at least for us!

We ate here while in cochem as it was recommended by the man at the hotel. We were not disappointed. The service was great and the food amazing. Very reasonably priced.

Visited last night with with 2 kids and husband. Excellent pizza- the best in ages. Service was polite but not OTT. It's not cheap per pizza but they're huge so 2 plus a gorgeous tuna salad fed 4 with pizza left which they happily boxed...More

Every time I have been to La Baia I have been impressed with the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. The food had never dissapointed me and it is a high class experience on a moderate budget. In the warm months I suggest dining on their terrace as it is a lovely atmosphere!

We stopped here for lunch while recently visiting Cochem. My husband got the four cheese pizza and I got the spaghetti carbonara. Both were good. The service was almost good. Our waitress was timely while she was there but then she disappeared and we had to find someone to pay our check as we had a tasting to get to quickly.

My husband and I had lunch at La Baia's to escape the horrible river cruise ship food we had been having for days. We split a margarita pizza and had a few beers. The pizza was very good. While we were eating we noticed other people getting their food from the wait staff and were surprised on how large the portion sizes were. I would definitely recommend La Baias.

This restaurant is one floor above street level near the bridge over the river. You have the choice of using stairs accessible in the back street or by a small lift directly below the terraced restaurant. Beer was 4.00 euros for 0.4lt and pizzas 11.00 euros but they were huge and with hindsight we should and could have shared one between two. Would definitely go here again.

"I read some reviews and heard from friends that this was thé place to eat in Cochem am Mosel, so we were very excited to find the restaurant near empty on our arrival as we had expected a wait. There was nobody to greet us as we walked in so after waiting politely waiting at the entrance for a bit we decided to seat ourselves awaiting the the host, waiter/waitress to come and greet us.It took another 5 minutes for the waitress to show up. As soon as she showed up she kindly requested us to move from the cozy booth-like spacious table to a smaller wooden table. Since the entire restaurant was empty, with the exception of one gentleman and it was about an hour before closing we did not see her point to keep the large table for non-guests so we kindly declined. The frauleins entire attitude changed and we could hear her screaming and yelling in the kitchen to the chef. She then proceeded to vent her grief to the other patron in German. One might imagine her surprise when I kindly informed her that I was able to understand her conversations ( I am Dutch so I understand the language ) and did not appreciate her treating us this way. Being used to American customer service I do lower my standards somewhat but to be told smack about a semi-professional in a small town restaurant in the middle of nowhere is not something I accept. We were looking forward to taste the local food but were quite frankly concerned that this would come with some non-sanitary condiments."
