"I have recently moved to the Pembury area and was talking a walk today, and coincidentally walked past this pub. A local sitting in the beer garden said hi as I was looking in the window, so I felt brave enough to go in (I was alone . I enjoyed a very warm welcome and a lovely glass of wine. I didn't realise they did food too, but I can highly recommend this place to have a drink and enjoy a book (as I did and to just feel part of the community. It has such a relaxing and peaceful feel, as well as a friendliness. I will go back again soon--and enquire about the food :"

A real drinkers pub. Does not serve food. Six real ales normally available with two or three from local breweries.

Wonderful community pub really friendly staff and locals. They don't do food but are happy for you to buy a Chinese or Indian takeaway and eat at the pub.

This is a great pub to go and have a drink, very friendly, but their website has photos of a menu, and they are not even serving food. I arrived for a pub lunch and was not able to have anything to eat. Need to adjust the website and state there is no kitchen. Voir le carte

Lovely friendly welcoming pub. Stopped in for a quick drink on Boxing Day with my wife while we were out on a walk from our hotel The Mercure in Pembury. Many locals in the pub who were very friendly. My wife had an excellent glass of wine and I had a perfect pint of real ale. I highly recommend The King William IV. Ten out of ten.

Came down for a camping holiday with a couple of lads, came to this pub for what was meant to be one drink...staff were so nice and helpful plus prices were good and had a brilliant live band on so we stayed till I took my meat raffle prize back (which I won there . Definitely recommend this place! Also, no food at the pub but the Chinese that's literally next door can be ordered to the pub, the Chinese is 5 star too.
