we were already in this restaurant several times that was located in a very nice factory house and had never been disappointed. The personal is courteous, the ambiente is rurally stylish.Even for families(successing generations) there is something on the menu for everyone.

I tiny little restaurant in a historic red brick building with cosy (pub alike) and historic interieur. We had a perfect potato meal, really something to have more often. The servant was friendly with a nice sense of humor and good information about the history of the restaurant right at his fingertips. Was a lot of fun!!

for many years I have always liked to visit the »Kartoffel-Kiste« in duisburg. the ambiente is rustic and cozy, the service always top-class and the card offers pure potato-grey masshine. my tip: the potato-thun-fishing run tastes heavenly. because it is usually quite full, I also recommend to book under the week. who does not get well with very steep steps should insist on a table in the ground floor!

We were there on a Sunday, for reasons they don't tell you, they only serve a few meals from the card. Frozen supermarket vegetables and potatoes in a baking dish, some cheese on top, that was it. And the location is so small, the stairs too steep and tiny, no privacy, everyone in the room had to move out of the way when one of us had to go to the toilet, it was just not nice. The waiter was pretty unenthusiastic. All in all, it was barely okay we won't go there again, espcially not on a sunday.
