Fish and Chip shop with a really large selection including several veggie options. Very reasonable prices. Definitely worth visiting. Not obvious as it is behind their wet fish shop.

Loved the cod and chips and peas.freshly cooked and very helpful staff as we had cases with us as stopped at Newton Abbot before we got our train connection home.well worth going if you are in the area

This was our first visit to this restaurant, but we will definitely be coming back soon! The fish was amazing, with a light and crispy batter, paired perfectly with delicious chips. It was served on a hot plate with tartare sauce and lemon. It was absolutely perfect. Voir le carte

When I arrived at the chip shop/restaurant, it was bustling with customers, which is always a positive indication. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The establishment was impeccably clean, including the restrooms. My meal was both tasty and substantial. I will definitely be coming back soon!

Haven't been in since before Covid so as a special treat we booked a table (a definite must) the food was as amazing as we'd remembered if not better, if that was possible, (definitely reccomend wearing a stretch waistband) I wish I could have taken a second stomach it was beautifully cooked and the restaurant was immaculate Well done Jacksons we will certainly be back but won't leave it so long this time

My 5 star rating has not changed from last time. Jackson's are well worth a visit. The monkfish was gorgeous and the so was the cod. We drive a 54mile round trip so that says it all. The batter is so light and very similar to tempura. Without having any chips I had room for dessert, pineapple fritters and ice cream. I was in heaven. had a great lunch here yesterday. we both had the large catch of the day which consisted of a fillet of coley and a big piece of hake each . as you would expect for catch of the day the fish was ultra fresh, beautiful white flakes of fish and in a light crisp batter, nice chips and nice homemade tartar sauce. the place was pretty full by the time we left and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals, very nice friendly staff and seemed very well run. will definately be back.

This restaurant serves the best fish and chips. We tried the cod with chips, haddock with chips, and lemon sole served with rice cones and chips. The rice cones were a unique touch with a light batter coating. The cod was delicious with a light batter and fresh, moist fish. The chips were cooked to perfection. The 64-mile round trip was well worth it. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff who also had a great sense of humor. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Ordered the daily special and were not disappointed. Two pieces of fish...Pollock and Lemon Sole. All fish cooked to perfection, lovely moist large flakes of fish and light batter. The chips were lovely too. Staff were polite, attentive and very helpful. Ordered lattes which tasted great, the only negative was that the lattes were supplied in a small teacup and saucer, so expensive for what you got, they should really have been in larger cups......Overall though, it was an excellent experience and great food and we would definitely return.
