"DORFKRUPPE WITH NEW CONZEPT The fact that gastronomy is again affected by a “lockdown” is annoying enough. Michael Wille, head of the well-known “Dorfkrug Bavenstedt” beyond Hildesheim’s borders, has reacted with a promising concept to the new boundaries. If you order by phone or e-mail, you will receive the dish in a cooking bag that is brought to temperature at home in 90° hot water. The finished dishes come hot on the plate and can thus fully unfold their delicious taste. Michael Wille doesn't make great advertising for his concept. Already over twelve years ago he created a distributor and informed his regular guests about the current collection offer in the newsletter. This also applies to his new programme. The vacuum device and also the wake-up glasses for precooking and storing food have been used for years."

"Were today for Christmas dinner with the family in the cuckoo and were unfortunately disappointed. There were different menus to choose from, of which all had the same soup and dessert. The soup was very delicious and nice hot. At the main courts we had 5 different plus the children's court. There the potato pulp was very sharp and had a light powder taste, the chicken carving in crispy panade was quite good. The Cordon Bleu was very thin, the Zander incl. Supplements were very delicious. Unfortunately the goulash of the deer grows, partly very fat and the sauce is sour. The goose breast completely dry, the sauce was also sour and very little, and there were red cabbage that was strongly boiled. The Rumpsteak was good. The dessert was very special, the part very small. For the child, a vanilla ice cream with smarties (on request, actually belonged to the same soup/sweet as with the other dishes). The service was good, even if the service was very reserved, we would have had a little more kindness here (only with the children). The ambience itself is great, even if it is always full for Christmas. Today we sat at the fireplace that was fired everywhere, the request that no more wood should be persecuted was ignored. This made it very warm, which was sometimes unpleasant. Overall, we were disappointed because we remembered better (from before Corona) and for the next Christmas dinner we will look for something else."
