They are doing deliveries during lockdown. Just had a jalfreizi and a bhuna and we loved it! Delivery was prompt too

This is the best takeaway in Tameside. I can't believe I only just discovered this place. I enjoyed every bite. Thank you, Indian Ocean, I will definitely be returning.

We went here tonight to celebrate a birthday, we'd never been before I've got to admit I was impressed by everything, the staff, the service, the food. There were 30 of us they handled our party no problem. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, we're already planning to go back.

Ordered take away online. Took over half an hour longer than time estimate. Bhuna watery, bland and chicken poor and chewy. Biriani arrived without the omelette (and most of it's spicing). Instantly forgettable seems impossible to find an Indian restaurant in Tameside with a chef who can actually cook. PS: Third time I've used this place, they got the hat trick up. Arrogant and dismissive. They sent us the wrong order, which was too spicy and ended up in the trash. We called three times and left messages with no response. When we finally reached someone, they questioned why it took us so long to complain. They refused to take responsibility, claiming they never make mistakes and blamed Uber Eats. The reason I never returned to their overhyped restaurant was because I found a large dead fly in my chutney once, with no apology given.

Change is as good as a rest we decided to try the Indian Ocean as it is local. Food arrived within the hour as we were told. Good start but that is where it ended. Popodoms were fine with an average chutney tray. Shami kebab i have had on numerous occasions but this was unlike anything eaten before. Small In size they were powdery in texture and any sign of meat absent. Saag paneer puri was a mixture on a overcooked chappati and as hard as nails. Main courses. Chicken Tikka Pathia was lacking in chicken. In fact when i opened the carton i thought it was just a sauce. Tasted okay but not the best i have had. Just like to begin and say I’m new to tripadvisor, after visiting this restaurant last night I had to share my pleasant experience with you all. Excellent food and fantastic service. When we arrived at the restaurant we were pleasantly greeted at reception and taken to the table by our waiter. Would like to say really like the fact that you are assigned one waiter and they follow through with bringing your popadomms, drinks, taking your order all the way through to bringing you bill at the end of the evening. When out for a relaxing evening no-one likes being swamped by many different staff members coming over all the time and intruding like I’ve experienced in other local establishments. Ou...
