very nice place , fabulous food, very good service, the chef owner is very gentle. we try the antipasto, tagliatelle with herbs, tagliatelle with spareribs ragù and rabbit everything delicious

Fantastic intimate restaurant in a very picturesque Umbrian town. Massimo and his staff provided excellent service to this nonItalianspeaking family! The food was top notch both meat and vegetarian dishes. We will go again next time we are in Italy!

We ate at this restaurant twice during our stay in monte Castillo delicious food freshly prepared by Massimo. Massimo has a passion for food which is reflected in the quality of his food and cooking. Service was fist class and the whole restaurant and toilets...were spotless. Highly recommended.

as last night in Italy we decided to have our last dinner in this restaurant for which we were not disappointed. next to the language barrier, the waiter who served us was excellent. the pizza I ordered was so big that I couldn't finish half of it. as takeaway and we split to breakfast. all Italian meals were great. a delightful evening.

. we had an unforgettable and delicious dinner in the small hill town monte costello di vibio. everything was cooked to perfection. the antipasti lasted for 4 and yet we were served each. the pasta was simply too tasty and the deer was cooked. perfection. it is a limited menu of 2 choices per cursor, but who took care of everything was delicious.

We ate here on our first evening and were going to eat there again on our last but unfortunately it is closed on a Monday. There was no menu but our charming waitress described what was available in very good English. The food was lovely,...if a little pricey by local standards, and was effeminately freshly prepared. It the sort of place you go as a treat. I understand that the choices change every day and that this is why there is no menu.

according to the sign for il grottino di zio toto, they feel like they almost walked the wrong road and they enter what looks like a private courtyard of an Italian family home, and in what did that is how it felt in il grottino. on a hot Sunday afternoon to eat our Italian family. the outdoor dining terrace is beautiful, surrounded by flowers and get a brise that the hill in the direction of the small monte castello di vibio. the menu here is easy. an antipasto plate made of grilled vegetables, salads and local meat; for primi there was a selection of three pastas (we chose the gnocchi with sausage and mushrooms and it was melted in their mouth delicious!;) for secondi there were also sever...

We were staying nearby and our host recommended this restaurant so we thought we’d try. Our Italian is virtually non existent so decided to email to see if we could get a table for lunch as there were 8 of us with a toddler. Email...came back promptly and in English saying very sorry but they were booked but could take us in the evening and they opened at 7 so we booked. We were greeted by our waitress who spoke very good English and explained the menu and the set menu which we all opted for. What a treat. We had a mixed starter which was all fresh and tasty and had a choice of two pastas or gnocchi. Most of us had the gnocchi which was so light and tasty not like the gnocchi we have at home...

on tour in Umbria and monte castello di vibio is a medieval hill town with a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape and was just a short drive from our central location near todi. this restaurant was a recommendation, but the translation difficulties left us. find the place and book a table on lunch.
