Fantastic location, a jump into the history! Food experience very bad , tastless pasta with squid ink and sea urchins (not even a trace). We ordered two bottles of wine, both at room temperature. The owmer 's excuse....the refrigerator doesn 't work properly! Long, long, long wait! I don 't know who gave... 5 stars....

The pride with which the owner tells you the story of his family, the place where he was born and lived, making you pass through those environments... makes you understand that the gardens of the Rodo is not only a restaurant, but history and affection. Exceptional location, unique in its kind. Visually spatial dishes and true taste. Excessive staff; you feel welcomed. The price is worth the whole experience.

Dinner on 4 Sep 2017. The location is enchanting and gives you a great insight of an old and characteristic Pantelleria's dammuso. Food is very good. Alfredino (chef) and the owner do very well in offering Pantelleria's fish plates with a modern touch. Ask to have your desert in one of the scenic corners of the dammuso with a sip of Passito: you'll love it. We really enjoy dinner here and we strongly recommend this place.

We didn’t reserve a table, we just decided to stop by while coming back from a wine tasting event. This restaurant has a nice and well finished design. Everything perfect but the food. We ordered the daily dish following the waiter advise. The term Disappointment it’s not even enough to express our feedback. The sword fish rolls we took were clearly made of frozen fish, without any taste. My busiata spaghetti were not handmade but just purchased at the supermarket. Not coming back for sure.

magnificent location in a spacious and cosy pantesco garden, with a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. great idea of a reserved area to wait for the table, where you can get a good wine. Rich and varied menu, with fish dishes really well prepared and with an impeccable presentation. is only a shame for an unjustifiable wait before receiving the menu and being able to order (we started to dinner only after 22.30) and for the prices decidedly high of some elements of the menu (8 euro for a passito to km 0 is definitely too much. )

large and well-kept restaurant with many open spaces bordered by small shorts. perfect environment and very cozy atmosphere in the evening. lights hanging everywhere, but the effect can be a little from the country fair. friendly staff and parking available just before the entrance to the restaurant. Unfortunately, food is not up to the environment. very pretentious menu, but only some dishes really deserve. Good fried and sweet. lentils with little personality and also pork, very soft, but with little sauce. In short, a nice place to spend a pleasant evening in company, but not for the most refined palates. good paper of baskets and Sicilian wines and sommelier prepared and available.

I visited this magic place last week for a dinner with my girlfriend. We started with a glass of wine on one of their rooftops, watching the sunset lying on huge comfy pillows. This romantic experience was enough to justify the trip, but the best was yet to come. We were seated in charming typical garden and the highlight of our evening was the food: I had a plate of raw fish, prawns and langoustines and she had octopus with chickpeas, both equally delicious. Then we had langoustines and squid pasta in an amazing sea urchin sauce and more prawns. The Rodo Gardens were the first Pantesca stage, dedicated to the search for the typical flavors of the island. The location is well-kept, perhaps a bit too fashionable for my personal taste. We are welcomed by the staff who kindly recommend the aperitif on the terrace. Undeniable beauty of sight. We opt for two glasses of wine production pantesca and a cutter. Here comes the cutting board and an additional raw fish dish that we not only did not ask, but that we were not described. Patience. We then move to the restaurant area, where I am pleasantly impressed by the eggplant meatballs, croccanti out and with a gudurious filling. The setting was perfect: a beautiful traditional garden, enclosed by thick stone walls, with old citrus trees growing in the middle. The owner and the waitress were very kind and we had a setting for a perfect dinner. And it was perfect, except for the food. Obviously, they wanted to make a step forward from a typical island trattoria serving typical island dishes. While they can cook (there were no mistakes in execution), they can’t combine. Most of the dishes we had were a combo of elements that sounded good on the menu, were mostly ok, but they failed to combine. The “fake pizza” with octopus was the first.
