"Absolutely amazing! 8 of us visited for a late lunch and loved everything about it. The food, staff, atmosphere, cleanliness… everything was spot on! The food was delicious and amazing value for money. We had starters including Tzatziki and bread and Turkish sausage, the bread that came with the Tzatziki was plentiful, warm and delicious. All of the mains were incredible, 2 of us had the mixed kebab, there was a large variety of meat and was super tender and a very generous portion size. There was plenty of vegetarian options for us too, we had falafel and humus and a vegetable casserole which both came with a choice of chips or rice and salad. The baklava and Turkish tea at the end of the meal was amazing! And the Turkish delight with the bill was a lovely touch. We would all highly recommend Hill Ephesus and will definitely be back!"

Ordered as a takeaway, food arrived lukewarm, calamari was soggy, lamb tough, portion size was good but an expensive meal that I could not eat..... Very disappointed.

A wonderfu! restaurant where I eat two of these times a week. Friendly staff, great food and service. The owner, Faisal, wants to be my adopted son. I am considering it!

Superb all round, great service great choice and really good value for lunch. We chose the set lunch time menu. There was more than enough to eat and 3 courses for £8.80 you can’t go far wrong with that. Voir le carte

Had to send the food back after two hours of waiting. Ordered through food hub, call3d the resturant 11 times and they would not answer their phone. Delivered the food at 9:30, I ordered the food at 7:30pm. Driver told me he had an accident but no damage on the car. This is not a 1st time. Avoid Avoid Avoid

Went for lunch on a hot sunny weekday. Pleasantly cool to eat inside although there was an outdoor option at the back. Food was tasty and authentic with large portions and the set lunch was extremely good value. The owner was friendly and as it was not busy the food was freshly made and did not take too long to arrive. Would recommend. Voir le carte

Group of friends went to dinner and had multiple problems with the food being undercooked and finding things in the food which wasn't edible. When addressed staff were rude and aggressive, would never go here again. Woman who worked there who got aggressive was drinking behind the bar and started shouting and pushing us after we'd paid to get out.

Called in without a booking on Friday night, a group of four. The chef was brilliant and came to our table to discuss the nut allergy one of our group had. He was really helpful, thank you. I have to complement the other staff too as they were most welcoming. The food and drinks were absolutely top notch. Will definitely visit again when in the area. Only other comment would be that you could add dimmer switches to you lights. It was a little bright and I think lowering the light level would add to the ambiance. Over, fantastic

"We 're looking forward to trying the Pheasant again on a normal day. We went on Boxing Day and it was pretty disastrous. Meant to be a treat but it certainly wasn 't. Starters were nice, no cooking involved apart from the pesto. Then the mains. The beef was grey, not pink as I was told it would be but it was tender. The roast potatoes tasted a bit old but there were plenty. The Chantenay carrots were very soft. The Savoy cabbage was perfect but the portion was tiny. The gravy was nice but we got a different variety when we asked for more. The Yorkshire pudding was the main disaster; it seemed old, and very hard to the point of shattering. Desserts. The sticky toffee pudding was fine although the serving of sauce was very mean. The clotted cream with it is, in my opinion, the best way to serve this pudding, it 's a relief from all the sweetness. The apple crumble was terrible; it came in a bowl with the custard already in it with the pudding. The apple was sour and the crumble was squidgy stodge. The service was fine although some staff not yet fully professional. We would have expected a welcoming hello and goodbye but that didn 't happen. Our overall feeling was that there was serious penny pinching going on with the mains and desserts but this is a very bad idea when you are judged on your last meal but we do intend to try again because it 's such a wonderful building and we 've had many good experiences in The Pheasant, perhaps before the present owners, we 're not really sure."
