"First visit to this establishment on 29/12/2021, date for the owner. It's got kerb appeal to pull in customers, and internally the All Day Restaurant doesn't disappoint. Unfortunately our welcome and first experience of Customer Service was cold at best from the female waitress/ front...of house. For our breakfast my wife asked for the Ganola, and checked if it contained banana as my Wife is allergic to it, reply was not sure can't guarantee it doesn't Now most people would either know it does or doesn't or at least would take the time to go and ask the Kitchen, this is something every other restaurant or cafe we have asked the question did! My wife ended choosing a portion of the Red Velvet cake, unfortunately it appears being left out in the open air had caused it to become dry and stale, my wife opted to leave the majority of the cake, and because of the customer service and what I had received for my breakfast, decided to just take it on the chin and couldn’t be bothered raising the issue with the cake quality. I decided to choose fried eggs on toast, I asked for the eggs to be well done as I do not like runny white (snot) and asked for the toast to be buttered! The waitress took on board my request for the well done egg, however, said they do not butter toast and leave butter on the side OK fair enough please leave the eggs off the toast and I'll butter the toast when it arrives. Eggs turn up on buttered toast and under done, immediately I asked for them to be sent back and reminded her you did acknowledge my request. Eggs came back more than well done, and I had lost my appetite! The male Waiter had far more customer service, however, a concern was his cough and lack of face mask, the female waitress didn't bother with a face mask, so when it comes to serving food and passing from customer to customer, this restaurant isn't the safest of COVID places to visit, compared to others in the close vicinity. Hopefully the owner will take the critique as constructive like other establishments have, and not want to reply negatively. Good luck for the future."

Perfect walk off the street' lunch friendly, smiling (really happy in her work) waitress. Live locally so we will definitely be back. Many thanks

We popped in after our long walk, to warm up with a pot of tea and slice of cake. We wasn’t disappointed and the service was great. The cake was homemade and absolutely delicious.

that couldn't owe it! arrived for a quick breakfast. they can park free on the road for up to 2 hours. I had a cappuccino that was beautiful and creamy. to eat, I had eier benedict, which was perfect and my partner had that. English breakfast he also enjoyed. the restaurant itself was beautiful looking and clean. the service was good and fast. quite affordable for the opposite.

our visit was okay, but I can't recommend it. we were disappointed by the presentation. burger not bad, but the bark and lamb dishes tasted much better than they looked. general decor was beautiful as long as they sat or looked at the front entrance. Unfortunately. I sat on the back with a view of the kitchen and the mop area. were a waste, not particularly fresh, crustaceous cakes and rocky waffel. service was slow but friendly.

Great bistro cafe to have lunch after antique shopping or before heading off across the bridge to Hampton Court Palace. This cafe is family friendly and has amazing deli food if you're looking to have a hearty lunch or just stopping for coffee /tea. Don't...forget to check out their delicious selection of cakes while you're deciding what to do next. When paying make sure to get their loyalty card so you'll remember to pop in for a coffee or lunch again at some point. Their menu incudes kids and vegan choices.

Such a shame today. Went to have brunch and following being seated with our menus we were completely ignored. There were only 12 other in the restaurant and two staff although that’s an exaggeration as when we asked the man if we could be...served AFTER WAITING 10 mins he just waived us off and continued to fuss over the till. No recognition that we were there, no indication they going to serve us nothing. Might be that Monday hangover but I think even a little focus on customer service would improve matters !!!

immersed for lunch on the chance, while in the opposite comfortable interieur with a large selection of sandwiches and cakes with a further menu with larger meals. my sister and I agreed that the halloumi avocado and the goat cheese, mozzarella and caramelized. on sourded sandwiches were each among the best we had ever eaten. the generous brownie we shared was by far the worst and most delicious. our group also enjoyed fruit smoothness (thick and again generously sized;) large coffee; pancakes with fruit; and homemade soup and potato soup. all excellent. friendly and efficient service. highly recommended.

I have visited this cafe on many occasions and can sing it's praise as a quality coffee shop as well as restaurant. It has a wide menu which ranges from a generous selection of breakfast options to a lunch/dinner menu that offers just about anything...one could hunger for, all without straying into the realms of fast food, and maintaining a level of quality and sincerity. I was impressed with the restaurant's sustainable ethos, and this shines through in the quality of the products on offer. I would recommend sitting outside for coffee and cake on a sunny afternoon (the brownies are exquisite! or an early morning breakfast that covers full English to continental. If you're going for lunch or...

"Obon: a petit Japanese udon restaurant that supplies a sense of Japan that cannot be found anywhere else in the whole of the Uk. (5 stars) Location: Obon is located close to the heart of Kingston but the road it’s on is considerably quieter. You must make sure to have a basic knowledge of Kingston in order to find an area to park and to also make sure you leave yourself enough time, taking the unpredictability of the traffic into acount. Even on a week day there can be traffic jams which can put a halt to your plans and due to the small amount of customers Obon can take its important that you not only book but make sure that you arrive at the agreed booking time. With this being said the staff are all lovely so if you are running late, a quick call is all that is required to just give Obon a chance to understand your position. The food: The array of exquisitely prepared sashimi will be sure to create the sensation that you are in a top Japanese restaurant in japan and the flavour of the fish does not fail to match expectations, which will be very high after just one glance at your meal. The fish is delicately seasoned and practically melts on your tongue, this causes a lovely sensation and is genuinely the finest sushi I have tasted in the uk and even matches a lot of the top restaurants in japan. On top of just the traditional types of sushi, which to many is maki rolls Obon also offers many other delicious options such as soft shell crab and even Unagi don, which I must highly recommend due to it consistently being the highlight of my meal. For those of you that were interested in the quality of the basic Japanese dishes such as miso soup or edamame they do not fail to leave you in grand anticipation for what is to come for they are, simply speaking, incredibly good. The miso, in my opinion, is truly remarkable and creates a lasting feeling of warmth throughout your entire body, on top of that it is far superior to other miso’s that I have tasted in all other areas of the world. Overall the quality of the food is something you would expect from a world famous Michelin star restaurant and if you want Japanese food it’s the only place I can recommend. The Restaurant: The restaurant itself is small but authentic in nature and because it only has a enough tables to host around 20 people at the most, the service is exceptionally good and your food is always out quickly so you will not be left hungry for very long. The staff are kind and friendly. And it’s always an enjoyable experience being waves goodbye as you leave the restaurant. You’re also able to watch as they prepare the food, which for some could be entertaining. There are Japanese photos scattered around the room and this further creates an authentic feel. The atmosphere is not lively but it is a restaurant and not a bar so is an ideal location if you are wanting high quality food. With this being said it is still a great place to go with friends and I consistently am able to have a great time no matter the occasion. Price: Obviously, the price of the food is always an important topic to come to and despite the cost of the sushi being slightly higher than you may expect from a small restaurant in Kingston, I would have to say that for the quality of the food it is ultimately a bargain. For three people, you would be spending around £100 so it isn’t cheap but you can go for cheaper types of food such as udon, which is still amazing quality and won’t set you back as much money. Overall: Obon is still my favourite restaurant in the whole of the Uk and is perfect for a special occasion but it isn’t the sort of place you’d go for a casual night out. The food is beyond incredible and thus they can cater for both children and adults by meeting every bodies needs. For anybody that enjoys sushi, I would urge you to give it a go, you won’t regret it"
