Served by the friendly Fiona our lunch was served promptly. There is a varied menu and choice of sweets and ice cream.

Very busy place, should have booked but didn't have to wait long. The food was exceptional, followed by an ice cream for the birthday girl (71) sat in the conservatory area listening to the birds outside followed by the heavy rain! Good coffee!

A great cafe for a good lunch. We popped in en route and had a lovely home made lunch. The ice creams looked lovely but we didn’t have space for them! Really friendly service and a good place for a pit stop. Also had a clean and roomy baby change.

This is quite a large eatterie popular with an older clientele. There is a well stocked farm shop attached. The menu is varied and the food and choice of sweets very good. The tables and chairs are a little dated now and generally the staff are pleasant and helpful.

After a long journey to Cumbria, we had wanted to pick up some food supplies from this farm shop but were disappointed to find it closed early on a Saturday afternoon. We returned the next day with four adults and two children, but unfortunately could not find any useful food items to purchase such as cheese, milk, or bread. We ended up driving to the Co-op in Brampton instead.

Great selection of food available at this restaurant. My partner ordered the haddock goujons with chips and peas, and the portion was generous. The homemade taste was evident and the dish was delicious. I opted for the quiche salad, which was also very tasty. The pavlova dessert was outstanding and the portion size was generous. We would definitely return to this restaurant. The staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable.

We stopped for lunch and arrived just as they were wrapping up their hot food service, but they happily seated us. I ordered the roast beef, which was a good value for the price. However, we had come to visit because it was advertised as a farm shop and had hoped to purchase some groceries as well. Although there were plenty of jams, chutneys, and gifts available, there was no fresh produce that I typically expect to find in a farm shop. I would recommend visiting the cafe, but don't count on getting your grocery shopping done there.

We arrived were seated quickly but then had to wait ages for someone to come take our order, we had to signal to someone before they came over, we were told there might be a bit of a wait but to be honest they weren’t that busy! We waited at least half an hour to get our drinks 45 minutes to get some sandwiches, 2 of which arrived wrong! The staff didn’t seem to be in any hurry there were uncleared tables everywhere, I had to wait for ages to pay was then overcharged, very disappointing really as I know people who have had very positive experiences here. I won’t be back!!

Called in today for two ice creams as we have regularly done on the way home. However, we were very disappointed with the ice cream and service. It looked very soft as it was put on the cone and as the ice cream was passed to us it was melting. We asked the assistant if the fridges were working properly only to be told they normally make their own and this was a different supplier. Don't really see how this excuses serving such a sloppy ice cream. We were then charged £3.75 each for two single scoops. Looks like the price has gone up and quality gone down. Will not be rushing back
