Very disappointed in the quality of the food, the time to get meal served when the restaurant was almost empty and non-existent manager feedback after we complained. Shame because it used to be better.

Very disappointed on our arrival to a building site and no comfy bar area as website stated! Having to use only 1 room the restaurant for drinks which had no atmosphere. Also finding out online on your website we had payed same for B&B as people had paid for dinner B&B booked through you previously!

Myself and my husband enjoyed a lovely meal for an early birthday celebration. The menu was very tempting and the service outstanding. Staff were attentive and helped up with any queries we had regarding my husbands intolerances. Julia was or waitress and she was very friendly and we enjoyed our meal and wine very much. A lovely hotel.

We organized an afternoon tea for a group of 12 people to celebrate a small occasion. The overall experience and food were great, but despite reaching out to the hotel beforehand via email and phone multiple times to confirm if a pre-order was needed (we were told it wasn't necessary), we were later asked to confirm our numbers on the day of the event. When we arrived, the staff seemed unaware of the arrangements I had made and appeared more annoyed than helpful.

The hotel was lovely but the restaurant for dinner really let it down. Food was good but service needs attention. White wine was also warm. Overall pretty expensive. Food in the bar and breakfast was complete opposite. Both these experiences were really positive especially Eileen. She really looked after us and went the extra mile to ensure we were looked after. If you are staying there I would avoid the restaurant and stick to the bar for food. It comes from the same kitchen but much better value and good service.

While the hotel itself was nice, the restaurant for dinner was a disappointment. The food was good, but the service was lacking. The white wine was warm and the overall experience was quite expensive. However, eating in the bar and breakfast were a completely different story. Both experiences were particularly positive. The staff took excellent care of us and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. If I were to stay there again, I would avoid the restaurant and opt for the bar instead. The food comes from the same kitchen but is better value and comes with excellent service.

everything about the hotel was nice, except the service in the restaurant. the service at dinner was slow and very ineffective. there were five employees waiting for less than 10 tables and they managed to be slow. the service at the breakfast was good until the tee and coffee service was sent, but then went down too terrible. our order for cooked food was forgotten and after more than 25 minutes we wait without being fed. When we asked if this was coming soon, we were sure it was. this was a lie because five minutes later another person had admitted that our order had not been processed at all.

The experience and food were absolutely fine; however despite me contacting the hotel in advance by email and phone several times to confirm numbers and check whether or not a preorder was required (we were told on the phone it was not required, nor did we need to confirm the numbers until arriving on the day, both of which I specifically asked about) when we arrived the lady in charge was not aware of the arrangements I had made and seemed quite annoyed when my friend who arrived before me (and had nothing to do with the booking) didn’t know how many people were in our party.
