Hänsel - Carte

We only had breakfast here once. We were looking for something healthier that the usual pastries. We opted for fruit and yogurt with a sprinkling of cereal but we were shocked to be charged over €17 for 2 bowls of this and 2 coffees.

I think we were helped by the owner. very friendly and accommodating. the eggs were great. with cheese, mushrooms and ham. I asked my wife is how fresh eggs taste? if it is, I want every morning fresh eggs. my first espresso in Spain. more to come.

Great value food, served with a smile! The coffee was perfect for the morning and sausage sandwich was perfect- they even offered to make it hot (against what is traditional- though I recommend it cold)! Food was good. We sat outside and was given a charge for it, no forewarning. Asked for a double latte and was charged for four cups of coffee. We couldn't dispute because language was an issue. Good way to lose my business. There are a lot of great coffee/breakfast places, price gouging doesn't agree with me!

We came for breakfast and were delighted by the freshness and good quality and awesome taste of everything we ate. Scrambled eggs with vegetables, pancakes with fruits and fresh pressed fruit juices. The bread is very good and the sandwich “especial” is simply fantastic!! Sadly we are leaving Barcelona today; otherwise we would have come back tomorrow.

French pastries are in perfection. the pastries with filo teig are crispy and very tasty. we tried the 4 cheese quiche, was so good that melts in her mouth. the caffe con leche is well done. if they like sweet orange juice, this is the place...Exquisito! the owner was very patient to explain the different bakery and food options and the server was very attentive. the ambiente is very welcoming, with a clear wood decor, clean and beautiful. Hansel is an exceptional breakfast venue that we stumbled across early on during our time in Barcelona. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and they squeeze some truly wonderful fresh orange juice daily; I'm a totally sucker for fresh OJ ; We visited here for breakfast several times and were never disappointed. On our first visit, I ordered the acai bowl with cereal and fresh fruit, and it was simply phenomenal! Everything was completely fresh and delicious : All the food at Hansel is wonderful you simply can't go wrong with whatever you order. The prices are also VERY reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food; we averaged fifteen euros each visit for two people.

Went to this cafe for breakfast on my last day in Barcelona and had a very enjoyable experience. Food was really good. Between the two of us we had the following: 1. a sandwich with iberico ham the ham is of very good quality... pure acorn fed 2. a ham and cheese bikini sandwich on coca bread I love ham and cheese toast but this was really good. The coca bread had a hint of sweetness that complemented the saltiness from the ham and cheese. It was nice and crispy on the outside, and oozing with oily goodness from the melted cheese. 3. a sandwich with butifarra I wanted to try butifarra, which is a Catalan style sausage. hänsel is this sweet little caffe on the streets of barcelona, serving some great essential sandwiches, pasta, juices and coffee. my friends and I stopped by hänsel on the last morning of our stay in barcelona and it was a great experience in the whole environment. I got the bikini sandwich (a ham and melted cheese sandwich) and asked if I could add some spinat. while they usually do not include spinat in the sandwich, they said they can add it for me without an extra charge! also ordered an americano that came in a cute espresso cup and was great. service wise, our waiter was fantastic. he could say that we were tourist (obvily, from our huge travel backpacks) and recommended several menu p...
