"We don't live close to Ipswich but will go out of our way to incorporate a visit here on other days out, just so we can visit Hanks! A huge array of amazingly tasty fast food style options. Nothing is greasy, everything is fresh and hot and honestly the best fast food I have ever eaten. As a family we have tried burgers, nuggets, dirty fries, hot dogs and mixed kebab and not once have we been disappointed. We actually had meat eater friends with us on one visit and after finishing their meals, all agreed there was no reason to eat meat when you can still have the same but better tasting versions without the guilt. If you prefer a sit down meal, Hanks also have a pub in Ipswich, check out their review too. And while you're in Ipswich find Hanks Vegan supermarket and stock up on everything you need!!"

We had three kinds of Sunday roasts. Every ingredient on the plate really tasted good and real. Since then and mocked chicken were amazing. The desserts were also very good.

If you want burger, kebab, dirty fries here is the place. Personal favourites are the mixed doner and the bbq ribs. If you've had a week with too much salad and chickpeas here is the place to fill up. You will be left with a bloated glow!

This vegan restaurant is truly amazing. The menu is extensive, the staff is friendly, and the owners are fantastic. I wish I could have this food everywhere I go, it's that good. I particularly miss their Deli Supermarket, it was a wonderful place! Voir le carte

This was my first time dining at a fully vegan restaurant in my hometown, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The extensive menu, charming pub atmosphere, and overall vibe were fantastic. The mixed kebab and Biscoff cheesecake were absolute winners.

This past weekend, I visited Ipswich with a friend and tried out this restaurant. The variety of options available was impressive. The staff was friendly and the outdoor garden seating was beautiful. The food tasted amazing. I would definitely gain weight if I lived closer to this place!

Have eaten at a few of the different hanks restaurants over the years since they opened and overall they're pretty good. Although not cheap and at times the quality fluctuating, it's nice to see a solely vegan restaurant. Since becoming a hanks dirty' however, the food is pretty good for a quick eat, however, I'm not a fan of their burgers. The kebab however is nice and I would recommend that. Came here after a long walk around Dedham. It was such a cosy lil ex pub. I was able to bring my lil fog in which was great. There was so many amazing options I was salivating hearing all the names. I ordered the Korean chicken burger and Caesar fries. The fries did not disappoint. The burger was definately not Korean tasting more just a chicken burger for that reason k dropped a star. We also ordered the brownies after which were mouthwatering. I would defoncomw back here again. Also lovely staff!

We feel really blessed to live in Ipswich with the growing Hanks empire. Geoffrey and the team are always welcoming and the food is excellent. At the ‘dirty’ locations (Lloyds Avenue in Ipswich, and Beach Street in Felixstowe) we usually go for the Big Hank or Ultimate burgers with a side of fries with ghost Malone dust and a portion of Chick’hun tenders. Gravy is also a must for the joy of dipping the chips. There is so much more on the menu but we’ve not tired of our usual so haven’t been all that adventurous.. yet. "Checking in to a hotel in an unfamiliar place, it is tempting to book one 's first evening meal in the hotel 's restaurant (unless, of course, one has had chance to research the alternatives beforehand . This may seem a safe option, but is often a mistake, as it was on my visit to Ipswich. Had I only known that a minute 's walk along the quayside would have taken me to Mariners, I should have eaten there twice rather than only once! A floating restaurant can often prove to be a bit of a gimmick, but Mariners seemed to get good reviews so, on night two, I gave it a try. A beautifully restored and maintained Dutch customs gunboat from 1900, with gleaming brass and polished woodwork, the restaurant offers a limited, but well-constructed, menu to satisfy most tastes. Being aboard a boat, I opted for seafood, and was not disappointed. There being an R in the month , mussels were a good choice for my starter, followed by a seafood skewer , presented with just enough theatre to be amusing but not over the top. Not fine dining , perhaps, but well-prepared, nicely presented and very satisfying dishes at reasonable prices. A limited wine list, perhaps a bit on the pricey side, but the Picpoul de Pinet proved to be an excellent accompaniment without over-stressing the credit card. Service struck just the right balance between politeness and friendliness. My fellow diners embraced the whole age spectrum (I was by far the oldest! weighted perhaps towards the younger end, the common factor being that everyone (myself included was clearly enjoying themself. There are many other dining venues along the Ipswich quayside that my brief visit did not allow me to try, but Mariners can be recommended as a safe and enjoyable bet."
