"Delicious and huge portions. Hurray finally a Korean BBQ that serves generous portion sizes We ordered one of the set bbq options which came with a tofu salad (yummy) and also ordered the kimchi seafood soup. The meat was cooked in front of us on the bbq grill and tasted splendid! I was also very impressed with the amount of soup we got. The bowl size is considerably bigger than the Korean restaurants in central London The decor of the restaurant is nice. There's plently of space and not too many tables meaning that diners are not squashed together and have some privacy My only criticism is the slow service (not due to the staff themselves but the lack of staff). We just came here for Karaoke so can't comment on the food. The karaoke rooms were spacious and comfortable and the song selection was immense. Had a really fun time here.

The food was quite good yet many dishes were unavailable or sold out even though we were there at 7pm, they were short staffed and the service suffered from it. Overall decent but wouldn’t recommend it for what the charge

new malden is the unofficial Korean city in london, they find many traditional Korean restaurants over there and han is one of the most popular due to the first-class location (beside the railway station) and its karaoke lounge.

Han is strictly a restaurant, karaoke venue and bar so I wouldn't be doing it justice by simply calling it a bar. It has a full food menu and six karaoke rooms, for example. But during my last visit to Han, I didn't eat or (sadly) do karaoke, so it was very much a bar for me.

lydia manager dishonest law. I managed to leave as soon as possible. I was on the toilet. Our recent visit to Han left much to be desired. Despite having made an advance reservation, our table was not prepared, and we were inconvenienced by a mid-starter table change. While the food quality remained consistent, the unapologetic and unfriendly demeanor of the staff persisted, even as they shuffled us from table to table. Although they did offer discounts on our bill as a form of amends, we had come for a delightful dining experience, not to seek compensation for subpar service. All in all, we have reservations about returning in the future.

if you are willing to go back to time and eat like a king/king of South Korea this is your chance. han is a beautiful restaurant in new malden (South Korea City) by london. the restaurant has exquisite wooden interiors and even better eating to its cultural size we tried to burn their mandu, kanpoongi, kimchi and soju and beer cocktails that it was! we then went for dak and pork belly bulgogi on bbq, which was fantastic. then we have tried chicken and tofu bibimbap, which were very different from other restaurants in the antid wicked place! must try if they are a group of people looking for a good culinary experience

when they are a huge grill fan and miss the fun at the bbq in winter, han is an excellent place. we started with soju and beer, the combination tasted beautiful. we went for mul Mandu(Dumplings,) kanpoongi (batter fried huhn with garlic) both were very good. we loved kanpoongi so much that we ordered it twice. then we went on to the barbeque and tried the dak bulgogi (sween) and dwaeji bulgogi (pork belly.) the experience of grilling meat alone was so satisfying. the black bell was the best tasting. Finally, their Korean food experience is not complete if they do not try the bibimbab. it is very comforting and delicious. we shared a bibimbab among two people after all start and...more

I often travel to New Malden just to eat some seriously good Korean food. Han karaoke is conveniently located minutes away from the rail station. The exterior bears a traditional ancient wooden style. Inside it’s built like a labyrinth with areas to uncover, the basement has state of the art karaoke rooms. Han Karaoke The man outside lured us in, claiming to be the best Korean restaurant in Surrey. It was around midday, and the server already recommended the alcoholic cocktails Each table had an in built hot stove BBQ set. My friend and I went for cooked mains and starters to share. han kimchi pancake The kimchi pancake was a true beauty. Nice and crispy on the exterior with...read more

"Obon: a petit Japanese udon restaurant that supplies a sense of Japan that cannot be found anywhere else in the whole of the Uk. (5 stars) Location: Obon is located close to the heart of Kingston but the road it’s on is considerably quieter. You must make sure to have a basic knowledge of Kingston in order to find an area to park and to also make sure you leave yourself enough time, taking the unpredictability of the traffic into acount. Even on a week day there can be traffic jams which can put a halt to your plans and due to the small amount of customers Obon can take its important that you not only book but make sure that you arrive at the agreed booking time. With this being said the staff are all lovely so if you are running late, a quick call is all that is required to just give Obon a chance to understand your position. The food: The array of exquisitely prepared sashimi will be sure to create the sensation that you are in a top Japanese restaurant in japan and the flavour of the fish does not fail to match expectations, which will be very high after just one glance at your meal. The fish is delicately seasoned and practically melts on your tongue, this causes a lovely sensation and is genuinely the finest sushi I have tasted in the uk and even matches a lot of the top restaurants in japan. On top of just the traditional types of sushi, which to many is maki rolls Obon also offers many other delicious options such as soft shell crab and even Unagi don, which I must highly recommend due to it consistently being the highlight of my meal. For those of you that were interested in the quality of the basic Japanese dishes such as miso soup or edamame they do not fail to leave you in grand anticipation for what is to come for they are, simply speaking, incredibly good. The miso, in my opinion, is truly remarkable and creates a lasting feeling of warmth throughout your entire body, on top of that it is far superior to other miso’s that I have tasted in all other areas of the world. Overall the quality of the food is something you would expect from a world famous Michelin star restaurant and if you want Japanese food it’s the only place I can recommend. The Restaurant: The restaurant itself is small but authentic in nature and because it only has a enough tables to host around 20 people at the most, the service is exceptionally good and your food is always out quickly so you will not be left hungry for very long. The staff are kind and friendly. And it’s always an enjoyable experience being waves goodbye as you leave the restaurant. You’re also able to watch as they prepare the food, which for some could be entertaining. There are Japanese photos scattered around the room and this further creates an authentic feel. The atmosphere is not lively but it is a restaurant and not a bar so is an ideal location if you are wanting high quality food. With this being said it is still a great place to go with friends and I consistently am able to have a great time no matter the occasion. Price: Obviously, the price of the food is always an important topic to come to and despite the cost of the sushi being slightly higher than you may expect from a small restaurant in Kingston, I would have to say that for the quality of the food it is ultimately a bargain. For three people, you would be spending around £100 so it isn’t cheap but you can go for cheaper types of food such as udon, which is still amazing quality and won’t set you back as much money. Overall: Obon is still my favourite restaurant in the whole of the Uk and is perfect for a special occasion but it isn’t the sort of place you’d go for a casual night out. The food is beyond incredible and thus they can cater for both children and adults by meeting every bodies needs. For anybody that enjoys sushi, I would urge you to give it a go, you won’t regret it"
