"We went on a Monday evening because our target place in La Caleta had its kitchens closed. We were the only diners and seemed like a distraction to the proprietor from his mobile telephone. That said we got adequate service, good food and a relatively low price an excellent effort from someone who is engaged in a valiant attempt to keep the place going in a depressed economy. All the time that we were there a large screen television was showing the Telecinco news programme. This was bearable because of the sub titles but its loudness would have been a nuisance of background noise had we been wishing to converse. Apart from ourselves it was watched only by someone whom we believe to be the father of the proprietor. My filete de pescado turned out to be fish and chips worthy of the name. My partner had shredded beef nothing about which to write home. Thus we were not enamoured with the place but it is the nearest to where we are staying (within walking distance) and so has geographical attraction. The rear window of the comedor looks out to the sea but, being dark at our arrival time, we do not know how engaging such view might be. In the past this restaurante has been reported as closed. It is on Saturdays but offers a 13 16 and 20 23 service on the other six days of the week, as well as being the local bar at other times of the day."

Excellent fish and well cooked. Try the variety of croquettes. Service is at the same time professional and familiar. I recommend tables next to the windows, to enjoy the views. Reasonably priced: from 20 to 30€ per person wine included.
