Excellent ingredients for a very quick lunch. The local cured meats are fantastic. Typical environment heated by the fireplace. Very kind staff.

Simple well cooked local food served with a smile in a lovely location. Good wine list. Very worthwhile a visit. As the place is tiny and much sought after, reservation is recommended

Very nice, traditional Grotto near Lugano. Tasty food, local style! Enjoy a wonderful Polenta or Risotto with some delicious meat and vegetables. Veg offers are also available. Friendly staff all over. Cost/benefit ratio above average in Malcantone. Definitely worth a visit! Reservation recommended!

We visited this grotto for a mid week lunch. The menu was basic comprising up to four courses and you could select two or more courses for different price ranges. We had starter salad, main course, beer and coffee. The bill for three of us...amounted to which we felt was reasonable. We sat outside as the management did not permit dogs inside as the restaurant was very small. Worth a visit though a bit difficult to find.

we were on the way to comer see, about interlaken and we were starving, so we stopped on grotto dell.” Ortoga for a late lunch. when we arrived, they said they were closed (it was good after that, but that they would give us meat, bee, broth and salate. we were happy to eat something, so we agreed that it would be good. our salad was simple and delicious. the cheese were amazing and they had such a good choice. the flesh was all homemade and tasted as good as they looked. the owner could not speak much English, but he really wanted to say hello and get to know us. he was a nice soul. they were so kind to serve us when they were already closed and we are happy that we stumbled on this little...
