The staff was friendly, the room quite average. Food was all right, I had a Schweinehaxe, with rather boring accompaniments. They have Wi-Fi in their rooms, however not in the restaurant.

Second time I have eaten here, first time over five years previous, little had changed, the steak was still perfect and my daughters schnitzel got here hooked on them, service was with a smile. will return again no doubt

We arrived in Cochem fairly late and were very hungry. We notice the restaurant across from us had a busy terrace so we gave it a try. The crowd were mostly locals which is always a good sign. The diner did not disappoint, food , drink and service were all first class. Voir le carte

This restaurant is a 5 minute walk past the tourist area but well worth the time. The locals eat here so you know it's good. Diners walked in and greeted each other by name Good German food and reasonable prices. We ate schnitzel and it was very tasty. Salad came with the meal

The restaurant surroundings are fairly simple and so is the food but the owners were welcoming and helpful and the food was well cooked. We ate here twice recently as we had been recommended. This place is popular with locals. There is an upstairs terrace used by smokers. Good value.

Had two wonderful meals here during our stay the food was excellent and very reasonably priced the staff were lovely very friendly and helpful the setting very relaxed and comfortable sat on a lovely terrace . Staff did everything possible to make our visits as enjoyable as possible . Would definitely say if you are visiting cochem you must give it a try you will not be disappointed. Voir le carte

We went on a Sunday evening when it was quiet. We were given an English menu. So far so good. Indeed when the food came it was very nice. However the snag was that we were in the corner and the two people serving were so tied up talking to a group of local men that we were completely ignored. My partner would have loved a dessert but after 30 minutes of being shunned we took the hint paid and left. Very disappointed.

We visited a riverside restaurant the other night in Cochem (no names, no pack drill) and were disappointed with the whole culinary experience. Grafen proved otherwise. Just off the main 'drag', we wanted something that (I think) represented good wholesome local food. Not only that, but the house wine was an excellent riesling. We sat on the terrace and, whilst one doesn't not have a river view, don't be sidetracked as the meal, service and friendliness will more than compensate.

We were absolutely blown away by this restaurant. The food was exceptional so if you're looking for traditional local food, this is definitely the place. The schnitzels were amazing, asparagus was cooked just right and the steaks were incredible. They also have very lovely wines...and great dessert! We had the wine pudding and apple strudel, both were exceptional! Great service and very nice atmosphere. The price was very affordable also, we ate here on two evenings and paid around 40e for two main courses, a few glasses of wine and one dessert. Voir le carte
