Goldener Adler - Carte

Very friendly stuff guides you to try local beers and dishes if you're interested. The food was delicous and not overpriced.

We had several meals here and all were stellar. One of the better breakfasts I have had in Germany. For dinner, the beef cheeks were "to die for.

The food was great and so was the staff. Really a typical old german restaurant. Wanted some "typical" german food - ended up with Fränkisches Schäufele, beer and Malteserkreuz. Voir le carte

I have had a couple of meals here - both good. Friendly, prompt, attentive service. Traditional German fare - try something unusual - I had Saure Kuttelen - marinated tripe: excellent, for 9.90Euro! Tidy mens; washroom.

So we were a group of 5 for dinner and drinks. Service was promptly and courteous. The food was delicious. Traditional meals and great steak as well. Large portion sizes. Cold beer. We sat on the patio and we're entertained the entire time by a rehearsal for a play happening right beside the restaurant at St Michaels church. Great night.

Nice and clean place with a great traditional atmosphere. All the food is of good quality and served fresh. I could say that the steak I ordered was a 9.5 out of 10from all the steak I had this year. Service is accurate but in no way inspiring. The staff walk around as if they work in a Goulag labour camp. Staff hangs around with long faces and are not friendly in any way. If you don't mind the bad behaving and unfriendly staff you will be quite okay. Voir le carte

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the Goldener Adler. The ambiance of the restaurant was very attractive and yet the appearnce took us back to perhaps a period in the early to mid 1900's. I ordered the veal in a rich brown sauce that was outstanding. And my wife ordered a wiener schnitzel which she raved about. Add accompaning standard German salads, wonderful fried potatoes smothered in onions, hard crusted German Brochen rollls, and a German White Reisling wine, and how can you go wrong.

we sit outside in this restaurant in the midst of the amazing st. michael’s church and the glorious bells begin to ring! the nice waiter comes and picks up our order, the bells were an omen for good eating! the meat, the pommes, the sauces, the salads... all the more profitable. the carving was soft, the beer were of course exceptional. we have eaten nine for €! we had two of our old German exchange pupils with alcohol and the abzock tax in whole Germany. still this price was great! € per person, gor this great food? damn yes! a bottle of water costs here by the way more than beer

Ate here in June with a larger group. Schwabisch Hall is an absolutely charming city and the Goldener Adler adds to the charm. The hotel/restaurant is located right on the market square adjacent to the open air theatre/church. They provide outdoor seating as well as elegant casual indoor dining. The service is exceptional and the food is amazingly great! We enjoyed the pork with mushroom sauce and although it was a large portion, I was able to eat most of it. It paired well with the Mohrenkopfle beer only available in this region brewed by Haller Lowenbrau! I cannot speak for the hotel accommodations as I did not stay here; however, the bathrooms are large and very clean. Voir le carte
