"we visited the golden lions during the week, I had the steak and kidney pudding that was delicious, my mother had the fish finger sandwich that was huge and the fish was freshly fished. the chips were also beautiful, beautiful and clobular! the staff was really nice and friendly and the pub itself was really cozy and well maintained. we will come back when we are in the opposite."

What a find, I did the vitality family run on the Mall and fancied a quick bite to eat and a cheeky pint after. Found the golden lion and couldn't recommend it enough. Only issue is they don't have a kids menu (with its location it's not surprising as more city pub than family oriented) but there's plenty of small bites for smaller appetites.

Lovely, authentic pub in Central London with gallons of history. If you're into film and theatre this place is a must! Oscar Wilde, Orson Welles, Vivienne Leigh all have enjoyed this establishment's offerings so it must had something going for it back then and the ptesent day staff are also courteous, helpful and service is with a smile. Will definitely be going back again.
