"This is a lovely bar and as you can imagine expensive. We went in for breakfast. There is a nice choice for breakfast though everything except omelette comes with bread/toast. Omelette at £11 (plus service) was tasteless sadly and served on a plate with nothing (no garnish). English breakfast looked great but black pudding cooked till it was rock hard (or perhaps stale). A disappointing and expensive breakfast. Venue is beautiful and staff good. However, they took no note of points raised re pudding or taste...or the chef did not."

Gin Tonic on the menu at £13 .. oh guess what that doesn’t include the tonic (trades description) or 12.5% service for sitting at the bar …

I was here some friends from work and Andras the Bartender was looking after us and we had the best night ever.He helped us to choose the right drinks for each of us and was spot on, we ll come back for sure.

12.5% for table service not wanted or needed.... or even there. Sat on a high stool next to a wall for a quick drink... had to go to the bar before anyone asked what I wanted and had to go to the bar before I could pay. Voir le carte

Quick tea and cocktails required so we dropped in to the GNH bar. Quickly seated orders taken , drinks served up. Both of us opted for the standard burger. Which was excellent. Proper meat, good portion of chips and pickled cucumber.

Over priced and rubbish food with portion control gone mad. Just terrible and a rip off made worse by inattentive staff. When my English Breakfast finally came the eggs were hard and over done. Two replacements came after I had finished eating ! Very very slow for a station where customers are in a hurry. Voir le carte

Never understood why I or anyone go here the darkest most miserable place near a station you can think of . Doors to station get locked and inside becomes some sort of dimly lit pub from 1970s . Can only imagine anyone uses it for catching a train so why are they so SLOW!!! I may well be catching a train so probably don’t want to wait 20 minutes for a drink …. Go to St Pancras 100 times better

This used to be called The Plum and Spilt Milk and was fabulous . The receipt on my bank statement still named it as this but it’s now GNH bar . Service by the waiter was slow and he forgot drinks inc the water . The meal took 30 mins to arrive which to be fair was only reheated so it shouldn’t have taken so long . The cheese board was abysmal and got sent promptly back . Sadly this is not as it was more staff training required , inc kitchen and front of house .

"A friend and I stumbled on to this neighbourhood restaurant by chance; no research, no booking, no expectations. We were then blown away by the quality of the food: wonderfully fresh fish, beautifully cooked. The service is also exemplary. I've always enjoyed calamari, but this was by far the best I've ever had: truly succulent and juicy. The mussels were almost as good, and the sea bream kept up the standard. The spiced quince with ice cream made a nice change from baclava in a Turkish restaurant (they still threw in some baclava). The owner, Tony, provides excellent recommendations — make sure you take them! He knows what's fresh that morning, and how his wife cooks it. The bill comes hand-written, and Tony forgot to include the wine (obviously I corrected him). I can't remember the last time a restaurant bill made a mistake in the customers' favour! No service charge is included, and it deserves a lot more than the usual 12.5%. This is a wonderful, old-fashioned restaurant, run by a charming old couple, committed to maintaining old-fashioned standards. The food is more than great and the prices more than reasonable. Service is personal, honest and responsive (providing Tony turns his hearing aid on). Tony warns you if anything you wanted was bought in, rather than home-made. Why don't unassuming but wonderful restaurants like this get Michelin stars?"
