Great restaurant! I loved the vitello tonato! I had spaghetti carbonara which was good too. Service was friendly. We were there with a large group from work.

Really nice food and good, quick service for our large business group. Popular with locals and was busy. Very good choice if you're staying in Laatzen. I would definitely recommend this place. I had the musroom ravioli and it was excellent. Pizzas also looked fab.

Das Giovanni R in Laatzen bietet ein gemischtes Erlebnis. Die Pizza Alla Giovanni (16,90 € schmeckt gut, jedoch ist das unvorteilhafte Vorschneiden ein Kritikpunkt. Das hausgemachte Tiramisu (6,90 € war das Highlight des Abends, während der Cappuccino enttäuscht – klein und mit wenig Milchschaum. Der Service ist verbesserungswürdig: Lange Wartezeiten durch eingeschränkte Zuständigkeiten und unkoordinierte Essensausgabe, besonders bei Gruppen, trüben den Eindruck. Insgesamt eine solide Erfahrung mit 3 von 5 Sternen.

Nothing fancy or surprising, not sophisticated, really average. German portion so be careful I would have preferred a half portion with more refined ingredients and hand made flair but as a neighbourhood Italian they can't be really tailourling the restaurant to please the Messe exhibotors who come only once a year, I guess. Red Italian glass wine was very cold, surely kept in the fridge. Ask specifically for room temperature or just take a good (German) beer. A reasonable place if you are too tired to explore more central (and competitive) part of the city.

more tasty italian, which is unfortunately overlooked also thanks to the inconspicuous façade. in the lower area they sit tight and rustic but cozy, with more than two people they should preorder on the midday and evening. in the upper area it is more spacious and they sit on leather, unfortunately is smoked there, which certainly gives the last a few eaters less per day. the selection on the map is large, as appetizer is certainly recommended to the bruschetta in various variations, e.g. with gorgonzola and walnuts. as a main dish there are pasta, pizza, meat and fish in great variety, as well as daily changing dishes on the handwritten map. here I had a gratitude with sampi on band noodles...
