"I never write reviews, but for ginza I just have to: I took my partner for her birthday and the moment when we arrived, it was a fantastic experience. Although the restaurant was very busy and we were not able to have the regular table that I originally booked, the staff gave us the choice, either on the Teppanyaki counter or the Robata, which I thought was a lot to sit on the standard. the food and the drinks were from this world. we ordered some starters and sushi from the a la carte menu to start and then we ordered some items from the teppanyaki and robata menu. also the chef on the Teppanyaki counter this evening (27/11/21) was extremely friendly and attentive. he was very tight and we have the feeling that he had extra time and effort in our dishes. he even personally brought the dishes on our table and was extremely informative in the description of the dishes. finally our server, richard, would not have been a better host. he was attentive, friendly and remembered all the complicated details. he combined each individual asspect of the service and transformed an already fabulous meal into an unforgettable culinary experience. he engaged in charming talk and made sure that we felt like we were the only customers there. I will definitely come back and spread the word to my friends."

chef’s choice sashimi is my favorite! chicken caraage is the perfect starter for the exchange before immersing in the main course.

what an amazing place! delicious food! I left the place that felt very full. the teppanyaki was the best in london. I liked that particular thing, that was so succulent. the service was incredible, I felt very well maintained and given the price was the quality of food and portion size more than generous. will definitely come back for more.

Mixed feeling for this restaurant. Good part: Sashimi is very fresh and tasty. Seared wagyu sashimi is our favourite. I also love the yuzu baby chicken with charcoal flavour! Bad part: Sushi rice today is particularly bad though. It’s like having been sitting there for a while. The salmon roe doesn’t taste very fresh either. Miso marinated black cod is mediocre. Seems like the quality is better before epidemic.

I must say after a phone call that our booking was not I requested and received confirmation, but after a conversation with the manager we agreed to come a bit earlier and I must say that it was 5star all the way after. the manager I spoke to personally took care of us all the night and the whole staff was so helpful and we even got a free drink in the lounge afterwards due to the mistake made before the hand. I didn't get the manager name, but what a great guy and I can't forget that eating was amazing. not cheap, but we didn't expect that. it was just amazing.

Robata is very good. Steak and cod are must try. It is not an easy thing to infuse sweet soy sauce flavor into the cod without over burning it. But salmon is very average, like dry and plain. Sushi is below the expected level, given its price. Rice is too dry, lack of soy sauce and almost in a collapsing shape. Fish is all right, not fresh nor stale. But I believe an itsu box would be cheaper and tastier, honestly. Plz use a more decent grade of short grain rice for the sushi roll. Drinks are fine, a good selection of cocktails and mocktails. Their service can be messy from time to time

The sashimi was fresh, sushi not bad but presentation was horrible; other warm dishes like chicken karaage and prawn tempura were good but the teppanyaki dishes were completely a disaster! Not enough staffs and it took long long time for the food, food served in complete wrong order cold in between hot; fried rice before the beef; sake was not cold enough and they even don’t use proper sake wine bottle to serve. Not sure the managers how experience to run a ‘Japanese’ restaurant but pretty sure they’d experienced of working in night club before music was loud and sommelier first recommendation of a bottle of sake cost £3xx!

It's a good Japanese restaurant. The nigiri chefs choice was traditional. It would have been nice to have maybe some seared ones or some with a small topping to complement the fish. The daily special of lamb was well cooked with great presentation and with a delicious garlic and ginger sauce. The karaage chicken was much bigger than I thought and was moist. It came with tonkotsu sauce which maybe could be replaced with kewpie mayo instead. I was very disappointed to learn that they didn't have any proper desserts on the menu, only ice creams or mochis. They did have some leftover matcha brownies from their afternoon tea which we were able to get through the manager. The staff is quite new bu...

We came here to celebrate my partner's birthday and had the Japanese afternoon tea. Two of our party were halal with one requiring no fish. We're quite new to high end afternoon teas and with hindsight I did feel a bit exploited. We didn't realise we were being charged £20 for still water and combined with the service charge I essentially paid for an extra afternoon tea! Furthermore they weren't prepared for the dietary requirements specified despite me booking well in advance. They confused my mum's halal requirement with vegetarian and though she said she was fine with the mistake, she did wish she had the halal chicken available.i also suspected all of us were given halal chicken as beef...
