"The staff at this restaurant are delightful, funny, and hospitable. However, don't expect quick service when it comes to paying, especially during busy times. The espresso is delicious. The cakes are also tasty but quite expensive, especially if you have a food intolerance or allergy. For example, a gluten-free and vegan slice of cake cost us £12, without any drinks included. I would consider going back, but only after saving up some money."

Went there for lunch and it was very nice, I had a man size veggie wrap which came with salad and crisps, my wife had tomatoe soup and a cheese scone we had tea for 2 and the price was around £22 good value, my only fault was the scone had not been baked for long enough and it was a bit stodgy. Vegetarian options: My wrap was very good. Service: Dine in

We couldn't fault the food and drinks, all arrived warm, well presented and full of flavour. At first the owner came across as friendly and quite a character which we found endearing, however our opinion quickly changed when she shouted across the cafe to her staff, barking orders at them as if they were children. We felt the staff looked embarrassed. It was uncomfortable to watch. Food: 5 Voir le carte

Unfortunately there was no hot food at 2 pm. We chose a scone which was great, but the tea was very weak and the pot out of proportion. If you have weak wrists, there is no way you can even lift it. The interior is very uninspiring and not cosy at all. This was accentuated by the back door banging in the wind and a nasty draft. Service was ok but nothing to write home about. I cannot recommend it. Food: 4

We stopped here for much needed refreshments after a long walk along the canal in the heat. We were given a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Staff made sure we were comfortable and gave us nice cold glasses of water. We had a cream tea (scone was delicious), bakewell tart and coffee, it was all lovely! There is a nice little courtyard at the back. We'll be back next time we are in the area. Service: Dine in

"Visiting Crewe with my wife we decided to take an early lunch at Miller and Carter. Our choice of restaurant being influenced by an earlier experience at the Telford outlet. Receiving a warm greeting from Reception we were shown to our table by David, who was to be our server throughout the meal. The Fixed Price Menu seemed to meet our needs and we ordered starters of salt and pepper calamari and sticky chipotle chicken. The main course being two 7 oz Rump steaks, one served with a mixed salad and the other with onion loaf, tomato, and seasoned fries. Drinks comprised a glass of a very pleasing South African merlot and a Fevertree tonic water. The meal met with our expectations and the steaks (cooked medium) had just the right degree of pinkness. The dishes were well prepared, nicely presented, and the steaks in particular were full of flavour. Competitively priced at £16.25 per head for a 2-course lunch, or £19.25 if wanting a dessert, we thought it represented very good value for money. The restaurant gave out a pleasant ambience and the spacious seating ensured comfort in just the right setting. Mention should also be made of the washroom facilities which were as to be expected. Having spent a good number of years in Hospitality Management I could not fault our young attendant David, who we both thought performed his tasks to a high standard. Happy to recommend."
