Local restaurant at the heart of a local downtown area. Cool place for some Greek food.

Food was very good, the service (the employee was alone and had a lot to do) was wonderful. Nice and clean restaurant.

Lovely place. Greek food plus other, so very good choice on the menu. Been going since 1940, so a Southampton institution. We enjoyed our meal, but couldn't finish the huge portions.

Best place in Southampton to dine. Quiet and friendly staff. Food is superb flavours in the pork was perfect! Best homemade chips around perfect with hellmans mayonnaise. Will come again

We lived our mixed meat grill and mixed fish grill. Both are divinely cooked, generous helpings, full of flavour. The meat was tender and there was 4 large fish plus 2 giant prawns. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed my meal here. I tried the bifeki and it looked authentically handmade, really tasty and with great sides. Service was attentive and the place was clean and well located. I will come back for sure.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for delicious food and excellent service. The menu offers a variety of options that are satisfying without being overwhelming. The dishes are well-prepared and the server, Karen, is outstanding.

I am extremely happy that we made a reservation at George's. From the moment we walked in until we left, I was grateful for the warm welcome, excellent service, and the extra effort made to meet my specific dietary preferences. The food was delicious and the staff was attentive and professional, but also showed empathy and kindness. All I can say is that it was fantastic and I will definitely be booking again. Thank you.

First visit to Georges for a while, but this place is always so consistent and provides a go to place with family and friends. Something for everyone on the menu, for Greek food lovers like myself to traditional British food, to steaks etc. Really good choice to please everyone. The staff are so friendly and helpful, will explain dishes to you and also help (ie, if like me you preferred rice with souvlaki and not chips), no problem. Everyone in our group really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
