"We stopped by for a drink after a late afternoon walk and were very impressed with the spirits bar. However, since it was full, we decided to sit in the main bar instead. This was our first visit since the new owners took over, and we were initially impressed with how bright and clean the old-style pub looked. We noticed that all the hundreds of whisky bottles on display had been expertly cleaned and polished. The dining room had also been smartened up and brightened. After relaxing for a bit, we realized we were hungry and decided to order sandwiches. They were very reasonably priced, with fresh and tasty fillings, and came with a small side salad and a bowl of coleslaw. We enjoyed the experience and will definitely visit again."

This is an amazing little pub! The staff make the place always so inviting. Dog friendly and happy to chat the afternoon away with some great food! Sven definitely recommends.

I recently had Sunday lunch at the newly renovated and newly opened restaurant at The George. The food was absolutely delicious and of exceptional quality for the price. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth succulent, all credit to the Chef! The atmosphere was lovely, with great food and service. I highly recommend it.

Although I work at this restaurant, I typically don't dine out often due to my OCD tendencies. However, I decided to try the Sunday roast here today (I had lamb, while my partner had beef) and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the gravy was exceptional. I highly recommend giving it a try - you won't regret it. Kudos to Rene and thank you. xx
