This restaurant is on Via Lucano, just outside the "mote touristy areas of Matera. We ate there twice during a short stay, and would have gone back again. The chef is passionate about food, especially sea-food. We ate some really innovative and wonderfully flavoured and presented dishes. Fresh herbs are used to add zing to many dishes and all the fish, of whatever variety, was always perfectly cooked. The staff were always very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Very good dishes also traditional ones and pizza made with genuine products prepared with care. We went several times for dinner and lunch during our week stay. Service is good, albeit a bit slow just make sure you have time to enjoy. We had fantastic Agnello alla pignatta , Zuppa di legumi , Orecchiette al ragù di salciccia pezzente , Tortino di patate su fonduta di caciocavallo , Trofie con gambero rosso e fave , Tonno rosso al pistacchio menu is seasonal. We definitely recommend it and will come back.

we came to dinner in this restaurant twice during our holiday in matera, from how impressed we were by the quality and goodness of the fish. Usually we always change restaurant on holiday, but for this we made an exception and this wants to say. raw and cooked, the fish of these guys is exceptional. perhaps little choice of second dishes, but what is in the menu is exquisite and some recipes present amazing combinations (such as black sepia linguine, cacio and pepper with red shrimp tartare, perhaps the best dish we tasted). the waitress and the cook are kind and very friendly. absolutely recommended!
