"The all-day dining concept of GBR (Great Brisitsh Restaurant) in St. James is all about seasonally inspired dishes. The preparation brings out the flavours of each ingredient and the plates are beautifully presented. Dishes we tried included Duck Liver parfait with Yorkshire Pudding; Norfolk Crab with Rye Bread and Crab Mayonnaise. For mains the Isle of Gigha Halibut was an excellent dish in a Clam Chowder with foraged Sea Herbs. Desserts were dark chocolate mousse and Lemon Curd Parfait. Quiet and intimate restaurant. Can have a conversation and hear one another. The food was delicious, with fresh, high-quality ingredients. There are very few restaurants in London that I would visit again, and this is one of them.

I found this place. Had the winter prefix, that was a 3 course meal. Fantastic service and the food was nicely prepared and delicious. It was a Friday night and my wife and I were the only people who seemed strange. How is this place not booked all the time??

it is another taste of food. at the beginning you will feel that it is small and not enough for a person like me will be eating a lot. but when they begin to eat and feel the taste, they will be full. To be too honest, we really enjoyed the food. I had the Neck of Lamb within the £35 set menu and my partner had the Monkfish “ Scampi”, which was also very beautiful. After that, I would draw attention to it. Be careful to have a drink in the bar, which is a must when a **** Mary and Coke came to £28,75p!

This restaurant has fantastic food and would definitely recommend the duck! Staff are really friendly, kind, and quick to service. There is nothing bad I could say other than I wish they gave me more! The food is also reasonable for the food that you get and the desserts are equally fantastic. Me and my partner would definitely go again. 5/5
