"Cozy, laid back local beer hall with friendly staff and a traditional menu. We eyed a few places to grab lunch while walking the streets of Fussen (a town that is worth a day trip when in Bavaria) and were happy we tried Gasthof Weizenbrauerei Woaze. We ordered the Jaegerschnitzel, and were surprised when it arrived as two pork chop cuts as opposed to a schnitzel (breaded cutlet) but very much enjoyed it. The chops were cooked perfectly and the mushroom sauce was delicious. I guess we survived skipping a day of breaded cutlet... We also enjoyed the cheese appetizer with rye bread: traditional cheese spread, onion, cabbage, and potato salad. Unfortunately, we did not know until the end they did not accept credit cards, but were able to awkwardly pile together enough cash to pay we wish we knew this upfront. The server was pleasant and helpful; not his fault but kinda his fault. Overall, we would visit this place again for the atmosphere and food."

Very good pork knuckle and beautiful beer garden. The service is a bit slow even for European standard but they're busy so I don't hold too much against it. In general, good place to grab Standard Bavarian food

Very friendly to Americans who know a little bit of German and who are looking for a good meal and atmosphere that isn't too Americanized. Typically great food drinks and dessert. Service was great (as far as German service goes) although it was a quiet Monday night.

We stumbled upon Gasthof Woaze on our first night in Fussen. Our waitress was awesome! She was very humorous and had a lot of patience with two Americans trying to decipher German. We had wonderful traditional German dishes and beer. We would love to visit again one day!

We happened upon this place while headed to another place we had helped. Two guys were coming outs laughing and caught our attention. We said why not. It had some charm. The food was great! We went near closing and ran out of time to try a dessert. The schnitzel was great and the turkey with egg noodles was fantastic. Great traditional German food at reasonable prices.

We randomly chose this place and we were pretty happy with the food, beer and patio service. I ordered the Spaetlze with side salad. Spaetzle had a good taste tasted like Gruyere cheese and the onion straws lent lots of flavor. Very rich. The side salad ingredients were good but the dressing was a very watered down Thousand Island that was terrible. Nothing could save it. Hubby got the roast pork and dumplings and said it was good. Beer menu was a nice selection. Steer clear of the side salad and you can have a pretty nice and relaxed meal on the patio.

This was our first German meal on this trip after arriving here via train from the München airport in August 2017. Since we were on foot with luggage, we wanted something within walking distance of the train station, we chose this place. The service was a little slow; however, it was outside of the normal lunch period. We both had the turkey breast accompanied with herbed butter and seasoned pan-fried potatoes. The potatoes were excellent and the turkey was great but not amazing. We both had red currant juice for our beverages. Given a chance, I'd eat there again.

The atmosphere was great, but the food was simply mediocre. The business is in the middle of a shopping area, so be sure to Park in the underground parking structure before you simply follow google maps and drive into the courtyard...like I did. The staff was very nice and the inside was clean, but based on our other experiences, this was our least favorite dining experience, based on the food alone. They may have been off the day we went, so please stop by and make sure we weren't there when they were not on the ball. Bump up the rating if you think this place deserves it, because I'd really hate to give these nice folks a bad review for just mediocre food.

If you want to immerse yourself with the locals, then this place is it. The restaurant is popular with the locals and you won't find too many tourist at this place. The schnitzel was excellent, perfectly seasoned and the meat here was thick and juicy. I was taken back at the thickness of the meat they used, unlike other joints where it's usually paper thin. However, one draw back was that the batter peeled off easily and didn't stick to the meat very well. The reason for three stars is because of their knuckle... they could have done a better job of removing the pork smell and didn't help that you smelled it while eating the dish. The service was great, they took care of us as the place wasn...

in the restaurant woaze we came to the lunch table. the rustic, cozy environment was our pleasure. they can sit directly on the market or on the back in the idyllic beer garden. a parking space close to us is not possible, but on holiday we are always too foot. the service came flott and was very friendly. we ordered salat, gulasch suppe and exfoliation, as well as alcohol-free beer. while the gulasch suppe waited to escape the rest. unfortunately the weinschorle was not after my taste. the salate and the non-alcoholic beer, on the other hand, very tasty. the gulasch soup, which was later thrown up, tasted good, but it was really very small for 5 euro; good, we will be happy to return on our...

"What a pleasant dinner I just had at this place with two friends. Service was great. They got us a table without prior reservation. We asked house specials Inside Out sushi rolls and a selection of beef slices covered in an awesome red sauce with garlic(items 46 and 69 in the menu). We “forbid” the waitress removing the remains of the sauce from #69 . After that we ordered 3 different curries. In my case, red curry(including coconut in the curry) with crispy chicken. Curry was creamy and with just the right amount of spiciness. It came with side rice and a bed of slices potatoes and broccoli between the chicken and the curry. The crispy chicken was good. Nothing especial about it except leaving the stage to the curry. The plating and the plate were awesome in my opinion. Portions very good too. The only observation was that one of my friends ordered a mango curry and he couldn’t identify the mango taste on it. Perhaps it was a mistake, perhaps the description is a bit misleading. We’ ll never know. All in all, it as a very pleasant experience for me. I can 100% recommend this place to those fan of the Japanese Curry. I’m not sure of the curry served in this place is indeed Japanese nor it was explicitly mentioned but it certainly have lots in common with them. Ohh, I almost forgot. I also ordered a White Geisha sake based drink. It was good. I don’t particularly remember it as an outstanding element of the dinner because I was too busy on the curry"

"We know Alatsee as a walking destination and decided this year to stay at the hotel by the lake as a centre for more walking and perhaps some nature. Booking was through Booking.com and straightforward. We decided on a minisuite for extra room and comfort...should the weather not cooperate. but it did so that was even nicer. The Suite consisted of a sitting room/lounge attached to a bedroom area and bathroom. All was very comfortable and agreeable. Sadly the room was at the back so there was neither much of a view and indeed no balcony for sitting out. I found that rather surprising and wonder if we had an inferior' room. But the place was pleasant enough, the welcome warm and the services all worked. It was nice to be able to take walks straight from the Hotel instead of driving anywhere and after the day visits had ended we had the lake area almost to ourselves. Breakfasts was the usual germanic buffet of cereals, cold meats and cheeses with juice and yoghurt. The service was excellent and indeed the staff actually prepared soft boiled eggs to order and timed to perfection which made a welcome change to the usual hard boiled offerings usually available. A real find for the british palette. What we found most odd was that despite being an excellent restaurant last orders for dinner was as early as 17.00. We are not habitual late diners but felt this was rather strange particularly as we were resident in the place. The place seemed to close up around 18.00 as staff left for home so I don't even know if the bar remained open later. As we had a mini apartment /suite we could of course have our own post prandial drinks in the evening but wonder how guests in smaller rooms fared."
