delicious food, decent prices, friendly and attentive staff and very cozy.

Good Service big menu. Menu of the day with a lot of different local dishes. The price-performance ratio is good especially ob the beers.

Typical place for dinner in old center in Herzogenaurach. Very good restaurant with "Bayerisch food", local beer and not expensive. More time visited and every time very satisfied:-)

Good place to have a dinner in Herzo. Nice atmosphere and well done dishes. Not a big variety of meals, but you can always find something for you. Good it terms of price and quality. Small choice of local traditional Bavarian meals.

We have been to the Roten Ochsen quite a few times with friends and most recently with business colleagues as we live nearby. The food is nice, but the service can be quite off putting and the decor is very plain and simple. Go there for a hearty Sunday dinner, but take the cheer with you!

My sister, niece and I had lunch here. We had different dishes: "wiener art", spätzle, potato pancakes with blue cheese, each served with salad. Everything was well portioned and delicious. Our server was helpful and pleasant. We're already planning to return for dinner on the bier garten when the weather clears up later this week.

not recommended for the following reasons: 1. we were served stinking cajau zander filets, returned and accused despite complaining (in the chef)! the only one who found interesting the fish was the swarm with their greenish shimmering back part, but after returning the food also disappeared. 2. herrentoilette shortly after opening still stretched with excrement there goes one of the appetit. 3. Manschette with warmed knock and soothed too much fat after that I was plagued by the rest of the evening of nausea and dizziness. Conclusion: I have already eaten for the half of the price in some big ones.

coming back from a holiday trip from Mitterfels/Bayern, at lunchtime we went to the restaurant “Zum red Ochsen” in Herziehaurach, which is located directly in the center of town on the market place. the house had an appealing lunch card and probably a moving story (see photo, so we wanted to return here. the facility was rurally simple, but clean and well suited to the bourgeois kitchen. After we had searched for a nice chat in the original restaurant, we deepened into the menu consisting of a day card and a fixed card with Bavarian (French). the house also has a beautiful beer garden, but we did not visit whether bad weather. if it is nicely warm and sunny, destined to sit here and to plait...
