"We were lucky enough to win a 3 course meal for 4 people on their instagram and we couldn’t have been more impressed! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance, setting the stage for a culinary adventure. Galata Pera is a hidden gem in Brentford, offering a delightful taste of authentic Turkish cuisine (now my favourite food). The menu boasts an enticing array of dishes, featuring traditional Turkish favourites alongside innovative creations. I highly recommend starting with the two mezze platters, a delightful assortment of cold and hot appetizers that perfectly capture the essence of Turkish culinary artistry. Each bite is a symphony of flavors and textures, leaving you wanting more! For the main course, we opted for the mixed grill, prawn shish and yogurtlu lamb shish which was cooked to perfection, all retaining their tenderness and juicy flavor. The accompanying rice and salad perfectly complemented the dish, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. We then savoured the baklava. The sweetness was balanced perfectly with the subtle nutty notes, making it an irresistible treat. We also enjoyed their rice pudding which was outstanding! We had dinner tonight with my wife, and I must say it was absolutely perfect. Everything, from the service to the food and drinks, was impeccable. This was our first visit to the restaurant, but I can assure you it won't be our last. Situated right next to a canal on a quiet promenade, it’s a beautiful setting for a wonderful meal and drinks. I can't recommend it enough; it truly deserves a 5-star rating.
