"Great restaurant, which is in a typical Bavarian inn. The facility combines the classic Bavarian with a modern twist. The staff is super friendly and everything is very tasty. All our dishes including the aperitif were absolutely delicious. The appetizer and the Zander were not classic Bavarian cuisine and followed a really well-thought line. The bakery and the Kaiserschmarrn were simply at an absolutely high level. The whole thing at the end still at an absolutely fair price. We'll definitely be back! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes are available parking: parking is also available for hotel guests. There is a hiking park nearby. Kid-friendliness: There is a separate children's card Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is barrier-free"

Very nice hotel, run by the owners. Tablecloth is the guiding principle of family Licklederer- Wenninger. They pamper their guests with delicacies from the region, expertly presented by junior and chef Paul Wenninger with his team. With a good wine or Chiemseer beer of absolute pleasure. I've been here with my friends Hanne and Peter two times, we're still thrilled and will surely come back.

Thank you for the very friendly hospitality in your dining room. The food was very appealing and excellent with taste. The delicious, crispy pommes I will definitely choose the next time. The Rumsteak perfectly fried with salad a dream. I particularly recommend the three-course menu, which was very loving and delicious. The owner family and the kpl. Staff were very attentive and always very friendly and accommodating. Despite many guests, no long waiting times and always a smile and nice words. Respect, we'll be back. Kind regards from Franken Hanne and Peter Hanisch

After 2 years, it was finally there to order the most delicious Kaiserschmarren. Traveled extra from Munich. We were NOT disappointed. on the contrary. A warm welcome and brought to our place. Then the rest of the evening always served attentively and responded to our wishes. Our 2 half-year-old daughter was able to relax and play in a small game. A very family atmosphere. We also tasted it very well. At the end of the chef we will be personally approved and of course we will go back there on occasion and spend an evening there. Of course you can also spend several days in the farmhouse and the beautiful surroundings. We would like to thank you for your visit. We will continue to tell our fr...

"My two college-aged children and I had spent the day in Munich and planned to drive to Berchtesgaden the next day, so this was a well-established stop for us (it is a little over an hour drive from Munich). When you approach this area, you begin to see a lot more mountainous terrain, which is just beautiful. The area surrounding this village is filled with farms and pastures, which was also very picturesque and relaxing. We arrived shortly after dinner and when we came in, nobody was at the reception. We looked around and finally someone came out of the kitchen to help us. They didn't speak English at all, but with some gesture we found out what they needed. They had filled us a form (name, address, etc.) that was all in German. Parts of the form I didn't understand (because I don't know German and they were a little frustrated with me because I didn't know what to write, but since they don't speak English, they couldn't tell me what to write down. That was a little challenging. But finally we got a key to our room on the second floor. Our room slept three, but believe me there was no replacement quadratch. We agreed as long as we were together, that was all that counted. Funny was the bathroom in German standards immense! We laughed that it actually looked like the bathroom had been square shots larger than our bedroom! But at the end of the day, a nice clean room, a nice comfortable bed, and a clean and updated bathroom all filled the bill so that we were happy. Breakfast was in the main dining room, and they had a nice ad. Several different fresh breads, cheese, meat, tasty fruits (they actually had fresh strawberries, the first we had seen in each of our hotels and it was strawberry season! They give you your dining table which is beautiful that you are guaranteed a seat without waiting, but then again sometimes it is nice to choose where you want to sit. We could not stay to explore the city, but it certainly looked inviting. This was a great stop overall, and I would recommend it! And a tip from here to Berchtesgaden requires driving through Austria. You must stop at a gas station near the highway and first buy a vignette. This is like a toll sticker for your window, and if you don't have it in Austria, they raise a great fine (like 125 euros). The gas station near the hotel did not sell them, but they said that they were along the highway and we found one closer to the highway. Once in Austria, at each exit there was a police checkpoint where they stopped every car to look for the vignette, so make sure you get one!"

"General/Ambiente The restaurant “Hofwirth zur Post” in Alt Marquartstein at the feet of the castle is one of the oldest inns in Chiemgau and was already in the 11th century. century mentioned. The composer Richard Strauss, who is in the nearby castle cap. September 1894 his Pauline married, spent many summers in Marquartstein and lived and fed in the Hofwirth. The historic building was restored in 1998 by the current operators, the Gastronomen couple Doris and Werner Hartmann with a lot of love and expertise. The building with „Alpenbarockfassade“ and beautiful Lüftelmalerei looks very inviting from the outside and this impression is also continued in the lovingly cosy guest rooms. In beautiful weather, we were looking for a nice lassy place in the beer garden of the property under an inviting chestnut tree. The Chef Werner Hartmann cooks Bavarian, Austrian and Mediterranean dishes in the Hofwirth. It is based on sustainability, the ingredients are mainly from the region, wild from the local hunter, dam deer from the Ribeaupierre farm and fish supplies a Chiemsee fisherman. Our choice Fresh asparagus with angling, potatoes and sauce Hollandaise at €20.00 Wiener Schnitzel vom Kalb mit Preiselbeeren, Bratkartoffeln und Salat at €15.90 The salad can be put together on a salad buffet. I had the asparagus dish and could save me the walk to the buffet, I'm not a friend of buffets. And let me serve a finished salad mix. The dishes were served like the drinks after a pleasant waiting period by the friendly attentive waitress in the Dirndl. Rating: the ingredients of the dishes were fresh, tasty prepared and sufficiently portioned. 5 asparagus sticks of the larger variety were perfectly cooked, nicely tender and still bite-resistant, wonderfully aromatic with a tasty sauce served separately in small sauces Hollandaise, also fine salt potatoes and without complaint this with approx. 180gr not extra luxuriantly dimensioned steak, but an absolutely well selected anuslende, perfectly a point medium roasted with beautiful roasted aromas, butterfly and juicy. According to his assessment, the Wiener Schnitzel of my companion was very great. Fine calf carving, nicely sparsely tapped and folded by a spicy panad, only loosely enveloped skillfully golden brown baked. There was nothing to be put on the side dishes, delicious fried potato slices and crisp side salad from the buffet. Conclusion: good cuisine in a historic setting"
