Really disappointed with this after having such high hopes. We had a reservation for a while, but were still put on a table on the side of the bar and felt in the way, food was average at best, and think they are relying on pretentiousness to carry them through, irony being places of actual value that they are trying to live up to are better at service, food, overall atmosphere and general attitude. May pop back for a drink at the bar if everywhere else was busy.

An unforgettable dining experience! I've been to Fumo with 3 friends from Leeds that cames to visit me and from the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was charming and inviting. The service was exceptional staff and managers attentive and kindly without being intrusive. The menu offered a delightful array of dishes, each one bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The chef's attention to detail was evident in every bite. Coupled with a fantastic wine and cocktails, it made for a truly memorable evening. Highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful dining experience! Thank you Fumo we'll definitely back!

Booked for my wife and I based on recommendations from friends. The whole experience was very disappointing to say the least. Staff not helpful when asking for advice on the menu, squashed in a middle section of tables for two and had to physically move the table so I could sit down! From start to finish it felt very rushed. We did notice that the minute people vacated tables it was a sprint to get it ready for the next batch of customers. I do understand it’s a busy restaurant but the focus was more on serving as many people as possible, rush them through their meals and get the bill paid as soon as you can! We had a booking here and when we came there was no access for a pram so had to carry up the stairs. On arrival we were asked ‘do you need space for a pram?’ Yes we do since we have a pram with us. Lady says she’ll be back. After a long couple minutes she comes back saying there’s no room for the pram and that we can’t eat there. We were shocked that they didn’t accommodate for a normal size pram and I just walked out. There were people waiting who were also shocked we were turned away because of our pram. Following a lovely trip to see the Nutcracker I brought my husband and children here for what has previously been a really lovely meal. Unfortunately the bathrooms were disgusting, two toilets overflowing, dirty floor, no soap and absolutely stinky. After experiencing that neither of the children wanted to eat here but my husband had already ordered the drinks so we felt we should stay. The drinks took 30 mins to arrive, the food took 1hr to arrive we had to ask for the drinks 3 times and the food twice. The bill we asked for, waited for 15 minutes (while the person we asked milled around doing nothing) and had to go to the bar to pay. Some of the food was nice, some was inedible (salty vine...

Our experience started well communication prior to our visit was great and the restaurant were very accommodating with timings. It was a special occasion and on arrival, we were greeted warmly and escorted through a very busy bar to 2 seats to enjoy a pre dinner drink. Waited 20 mins at the bar for a drink the bar staff lacked energy and urgency considering how many people were waiting. The drinks, when we got them, were lovely. We were then taken to our dining table and sat tightly, at our table amongst loads of other tables we couldn’t hear each other, let alone the waitress. First time visit, won’t be returning. I booked a table for a Friday night evening visit and on the booking (which was done several weeks before) explained that it was for a birthday, and requested if we could sit in a warm position, preferable not a table near to a door. Well yes, you can guess where we were sat on the smallest table right under the blasting air conditioning nearest the door. Also right next to the heaving bar area so you felt like you were sat in the way. The place was heaving! This restaurant is LOUD. 4 of us basically had to shout at each other to hear anyone speak, and when we left the restaurant our ears were ringing as if we had been to a concert. First time visiting this Fumo for husband and I (normally use Selfridges, but thought we would like a change of scenery). We were greeted by a lovely lady at reception, who took our jackets, and then seated…….right in the middle of the restaurant. It was chaos from therein! We absolutely appreciate it was Christmas season and expected it to be busy, but this was absolutely manic with tables pushed way too close together for people to pass. Twice things were knocked off our table by people passing and the noise was simply unbearable (to be fair there was a table of women screaming and shouting like they’d never been let out before). I have been visiting fumo for 10 years, as a family and with friends we have always enjoyed it. Last night I had a terrible and upsetting experience. To start with we had to navigate through the terrible city Christmas traffic so we called to say we would be late, we were told no problem. Upon arrival we had to wait in a long queue to be seated which added more time only to then be told our table had been given away to a walk in. We were then found a table in the bar and told we could have it for one hour. No one offered to take our coats as they usually do, they started taking our plates away before we had finished eating and not once asked if everything was ok. We spent over £200 and this...
