The food is merely mediocre, and the service is excruciatingly slow. If I hadn’t asked someone for assistance at the end, I probably would still be waiting. Food: 1/5 Service: 1/5 Atmosphere: 1/5

Great menu, good wine list and very tasty food. Enter your car reg into a machine at Holiday Inn reception and you don’t have to pay for parking. All 4 of us enjoyed our meal, carbonara with extra chicken, pizza, risotto and potato skins, with a bottle of rose. Under £80 the lot. Would recommend this as a good meal stop on the A1. Food service was good enough, but the parking fine a week later was very annoying, though I called the hotel reception and they cancelled the charge. Apparently you have to register the car at the hotel reception when you go in to the restaurant. Very unexpected, not something either of us thought to look for. Locally, at restaurant where the parking is chargeable they ask for your registration number so those eating there don’t get charged. Surely Fratellos could do the same? It’s only a wee simple question to ask that could save lots of stress an unpleasant experience for travellers. I don't recommend. Although the food tastes ok, it's overpriced and I don't understand why; the food quality is not great, the other guests I was dining with all had problems with their orders and portion sizes are VERY small, some mains are the size of starters. Ordered an Americano, it was like flavoured water very weak. There was little to no sauce with the seabass in comparison to the website photo displayed on the website. The consistency is all over the place too; I suggest the chefs meet up and figure it out; as I have been going here several times due to connivence of being a guest at the hotel. Had to wait more than an hour for our meals. No guilt whatsoever with getting the waitres... Voir le carte
