"Food service was good enough, but the parking fine a week later was very annoying, though I called the hotel reception and they cancelled the charge. Apparently you have to register the car at the hotel reception when you go in to the restaurant. Very unexpected, not something either of us thought to look for. Locally, at restaurant where the parking is chargeable they ask for your registration number so those eating there don’t get charged. Surely Fratellos could do the same? It’s only a wee simple question to ask that could save lots of stress an unpleasant experience for travellers. We noticed others had been caught out the same way, so although there is apparently some signage, it is obviously not enough to get people’s attention. You’re just not expecting it when you go in for a meal. Parking: Staff need to mention the parking arrangement to those using the restaurant."
