"Came to Frankie and Benny’s on Thursday evening with a friend. There was only 3 other tables in the entire restaurant and looking back it’s easy to see why! Signs on the tables suggested app service but when trying to use this and type in our table number, error message kept coming up saying there was no account open on our table. Waited another 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us and take our drinks order. After eventually ordering food, we waited around 10 minutes for starters. My friend said her potato skins tasted frozen and weren’t very nice, and my crispy squid was a soggy mess. For mains, my friend had chicken parmagiana which she said the pasta was bland and chicken was cold in the middle. I had carbonara and paid extra for chicken to be added as a topping. Well… ive had nicer carbonaras from the supermarket ready meal shelf. The whole dish was obviously from frozen, the chicken was diced into tiny cubes with a weird texture and the sauce was bland. Our onion rings and corn cobs that we ordered as sides were cold. We never received a checkback and even when the waiter (a young man who seemed like he didn’t have a clue) came to clear our full plates (we both left almost the entire meals) he didnt even ask if everything was okay or seem curious as to why we left the food. Paid the bill but will never return to frankie and bennys, we heard the table next to us complaining amongst themselves that the food was bad as well. Frankie and benny’s used to be a nice restaurant, always seemed to be fresh and was always busy. But now it’s a sad excuse for an italian american restaurant. The menu hosts some of the simplest things to cook (pasta, rice etc) but the chefs can’t even seem to do this from fresh. Two of the chefs, a man and woman were too busy canoodling and flirting in the kitchen to be cooking any food anyway. Absolutely awful and a total waste of time and money."

Lovely friendly staff and good service. Excellent choice for vegans for main and dessert! Felt a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere

Bland and poor quality food quite expensive for the quality, Felt the price was high and given the options to dine locally won’t hurry back. Positive was the service prompt and friendly

Came here with my son for a treat. We both had hotdogs his meat, mine veggie. They couldn't have been more plain and bland if they tried. Very uninspiring and not very nice. Drinks were massively overpriced. Won't be coming here again. Voir le carte

My husband and I stopped by for lunch today and we were extremely pleased! The atmosphere was nice and tranquil, the staff was very polite and efficient, and the food was delicious. They even helped me with some hot water to warm up my 7-month-old son's bottle (some places don't offer this service... who knew?) We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Leicester.

I ordered the classic Caesar salad, which consisted of lettuce, croutons, grated cheese, and dressing on a plate. It cost £11.40. Unfortunately, the lettuce was dirty and gritty, making it unpleasant to eat. The croutons were stale and soft as well. I informed the waitress about the issue, but she did not seem concerned. I ended up leaving more than half of the salad uneaten as it was not enjoyable. Overall, the service was also lacking. It was a very disappointing experience.

Staff nice and friendly. Helpful and polite. They asked if anyone at our table had any allergies which was nice for them to check. Drinks were over priced, but that seams to be norm for restaurants these days. I had the Loaded potato skins to start which were nice and tasty. My main was the black and blue burger, the taste was there but the portion size wasn’t. Our whole table left the restaurant needing more food. For 3 drinks, 3 starters and the 3 mains to come in at £75.00 for what we got was expensive. Since the Covid pandemic they seamed to have the kept prices similar but now using cheaper ingredients and smaller quantities of the meals. Voir le carte

I met a friend for lunch at this branch for the first time. It used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but unfortunately, I will not be returning. I have a gluten-free diet, and the menu options for gluten-free choices were limited. There was only one gluten-free starter available, which was delicious, but the disappointment came with the main course. I had ordered the Bolognese with gluten-free pasta, but when it arrived, it looked unappetizing and tasted like a pot noodle. The pasta was undercooked and the meat tasted like it came from a can. The high price tag for what seemed like an undercooked, ready-made meal was not worth it. The only positive aspect of the experience was the frien...

First time visiting a Frankie and Benny 's. It will be the last, service was fine, waitress was lovely, attentive and nice and quick taking orders and delivering drinks. But the food was pretty terrible for how much you pay. A member of the party had the salmon off the GF menu. It came with a giant dry jacket potato rather than the advertised 'bed of mash potato '. I had the New York BBQ chicken see picture). The 'grilled loaded corn ' had been no where near a grill and definitely just come out of the microwave. And it was loaded with....a smear of mayo...for the price £17) I would have thought there 'd be a bit of salad or coleslaw garnish. The 10 year old in our group not a fussy eating ki...

"Went here last night at the tail end of an office Christmas party and we stumbled (quite literally inside having been turned away at a restaurant next door. It was past closing though their OPEN sign was still on. Anyway! Although Oppa was just about to close, they took us in, a group of 6, and stayed open until we finished. When I realized we were in a Korean restaurant, I was so excited; I've been searching for a good Korean restaurant in the midlands. My colleagues were much less so as they had never had Korean food and were unfamiliar with everything on the menu. I ordered for everyone and despite some of them being difficult one colleague kept asking for samosas, aah! the service was faultless. Staff were super attentive and helpful, patient, friendly, good fun, and extremely accommodating. Just perfect! And they stayed open for us quite late without rushing us out, what more can you ask for? Ok, so the food. It was SO so good and I'm already planning to go back. The kimchi was bang on how I like (a big deciding factor for me strongly fermented/pickled and spicy, and fresh. All the bulgogi (marinated meat , dolsot bibimbap (sizzling rice bowl , jjigae (stew/ramen style soups , seafood and extras that were served tasted just like I had hoped they would. Presentation was great everything looked properly appetizing and vegetables and seafood, etc were all clean and fresh. I was too busy stuffing my face and enjoying the moment and company to take photos, but the few photos I've seen on here are true to life. Other things people might be interested in: This restaurant is kitted out to cook Korean BBQ at/in/on your table. It is spacious, with lots of tables and room to move around. Decor is tasteful and minimal. It is clean and indeed I was warned by staff when going upstairs to the ladies' to be careful as the stairs and the toilets had all just been cleaned (and clean they were! . If you're looking for good Korean food, look no further. If you're looking to try Korean food for the first time, this is a great place to start. Go for it! Might see you there, if I can help it :D [I've copied this review over from where I originally posted it because this listing and the one for OPPA in Leicester are the same exact restaurant, FYI]"
