Frankie Benny's - Carte

The usual mis match between what should be American (fast food with good service) as opposed to what you actually get indifferent British service. Waited an hour for food. No food appeared despite asking twice and, as we had seats booked for a film, we had to leave and get cinema food!

I usually always take my girlfriend to Frankie and bennies, on this occasion we are on holiday and the service here is horrendous. Staff are not clearing tables, 7 couples are here waiting to be seated alongside me and my girlfriend. Plenty of empty tables just sitting with empty plates and glasses from customers that have already left. Worst service I’ve ever seen with waiting times over 25 30 minuets and counting

Was in this resteraunt for the first time last night 31/1/2020 and so glad we had gave it a try, great atmosphere when walking in the door greeted by a lovely lady Louise who I think was the manager, who looked after us from the minute we got in till we left, always checking our food was good which was delish and that our drinks were always topped up, great food, tasty and fast great treat for kids after cinema great experience from start to finish, thanks Louise and team : we will be back. The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived and service was a little slow to start. Had starters/mains and desert with drinks. Starters between us dough balls, potato skins and meatballs. All very tasty and the meat balls were very nice. Mains 2 x med sirloin, peparoni pizza, chicken with half a rack of ribs and vegan pasta. All meals were very enjoyable and a good helping. Deserts (starters mains killed of 3 due to portions) Toblerone cheesecake with ice cream was beautifull. A very enjoyable family meal out

We thought that Frankie and Bennys would be an ideal venue for group of nine adults and two children who were attending my daughters wedding. The service was slow to say the least, we waited for at least 45 minutes for drinks then the waiter ignored two of our party's food order and had to call the waiter back to place the order. The restaurant was reasonably busy but not so that service had to be compromised to this level. The food was average which was a surprise as my previous experience was a positive one. When trying to order further drinks the waiter again forgot to take several of the parties orders and had to pursue the waiter again! This was not a positive experience of what is now...

The restaurant was quiet but that didnt improve the service. Three drinks took 20 mins to prepare when the waitress brought mine over (just a bottle that needed opened) it was wrong. We ordered 1 childs mocktail. I watched as 2 waitresses tried to decide if the pre mixed bottle which was not stored in a fridge was in date. After much shaking, staring at it 1 waitress daring to taste a tiny bit they seemed to decide it was ok to serve it to a 9 year old! Surely dates should be on these things?? Food came it was ok, halloumi burger was the saltiest I'd ever tasted, nachos were ok, kids wrap was fine but the side of beans were cold with a skin on them so they were not eaten. After a long hard day at work, we decided to have our dinner in Frankie Benny's @Fountain Park, Edinburgh. Arrived in decent time and the place was not that busy. Took around 5-10 minutes to get seated. Didn't get to order our food and drinks until about 15-20 minutes later. Knowing how slow the service was, we decided to order everything together. Drinks (Coke and Milkshake), Starter (Dough Balls and Calamari) and Mains (Lasagna and Cabonara). The starters were served before the drinks arrived. The starters were horrible! Reviewing to warn other gluten free (GF) customers of dangerous experience. I ordered a burger from the GF menu, and the menu stated that GF burgers all come with a jacket potato (which I took to mean their chips are not GF since they are not on the GF menu). My burger arrived in a sesame seeded bun with chips on the side. I queried whether this was definitely a GF meal. It was taken back to the kitchen and very quickly a lone burger in a different (poppy seeded) bun appeared on the pass and sat under a heat lamp while they made me a jacket potato (which was bone dry and not even buttered). It is my first time in this Frankie&Bennys but I have been many times in other ones. I came with my partner to have dinner and we were totally disappointed with the service given. The waitress a young lady, brunette and short hair took the wrong order. We wanted to have all the food together and not starters and mains as we had a cinema date.We got the starters, (never asked it they were ok) and when we got the mains (after waiting for a while) they were completely wrong and poorly presented. it was 2 carbonara, 1 with extra mushrooms and 1 w chicken and nduja sausage .
