Fisher Donaldson - Carte

The cafe had no menus, when asked the staff said they were on the tables, were not. No prices and options on display, one menu for whole cafe being passed around customers. Chaotic. Great food though so just get a menu on each table and maybe a blackboard with specials on it?

We took our 2 year old granddaughter to the play area today so she can have a good time playing we could have coffee a cake ! It was absolutely filthy the toys were broken, she picked up a soft body doll it was absolutely disgusting. I’ve never seen such a dirty disgusting kids play area ever??’we definitely won’t be back

We were staying in the area and popped in for coffee and a scone/cake on a rainy day. There are plenty of parking spaces in the large car park and we found a vacant table easily. There is a menu on the table and when we went to the counter and ordered, all of the items requested were placed quickly and efficiently on our tray. The scones were delicious and light and the cakes very good. We enjoyed it here so returned a few times during the week. Voir le carte

We initially planned to dine in at the restaurant, but after being ignored for 10 minutes, a lady came over abruptly to inform us that there would be a long wait for service due to understaffing. We were the only table to place an order. Disappointed with the service, we decided to order takeout instead. The food was delicious, but the service was terrible. We had visited the restaurant the day before and once again, the food was excellent, but the service definitely needs improvement.

There are no gluten-free options available at this restaurant. The staff did not seem to care much about accommodating dietary restrictions. Although there were many treats to choose from, none of them were gluten-free in the large bakery. I thought I was in luck when they offered me a nice shortbread, but it turned out to be vegan after checking their book. There were plenty of vegan options and regular choices, but none for gluten-free customers. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for me and my family.

As a self-defined doughnut officianado i must say that he caramel doughnuts here are the the best I have ever tasted. It's like a company has actually.listened to the customer and created a product that meets then exceeds customer expectation. They are damn fine doughnuts and I would come back to Fife just for them. I've also had the rhubarb and the apple tarts. Again, they are delightfully full to bursting with quality ingredients. I was in York last week and bought vakes from Betty's which just like York itself, we're picture perfect. The confections at Fisher Donaldson arn't delicate and fancy but what they lack in looks the sure as anything make up for in taste. Voir le carte

This is a wonderful shop. It is clean and bright with a fabulous display of cakes, pastries and bread. The aroma of fresh baking, is gorgeous. The staff were all so nice: nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a lovely, un-rushed, family, get together with coffee and cake. We can’t wait to come back for another: coffee tower, danish slice, fudge donut and carrot cake! If you haven’t been to Fisher and Donaldsons, for coffee and cake, you haven’t lived! I am also reliably informed that the fudge donut Birthday cakes are delicious! My only suggestion would be that the sitting area and facilities would benefit from a refresh at some point because they look a little bit tired and dated, b...

It has been a few years since our last visit to this bakery and pastry shop, and unfortunately, the experience has not improved. On the positive side, the location is great with ample free parking, and the glass facade still looks inviting with its new build feel. However, the staff, while appearing less rude than before, clearly lack proper training. Upon arrival, four young employees were idle behind the counter while tables with dirty dishes needed to be cleared. While we were enjoying our drinks, one staff member handled cakes with her bare hands, rang up customers on the register, and then continued to touch pies in the display case without washing her hands. Fisher and Donaldson like to think of themselves as 'high class ' bakers and confectioners, and are keen to mention their Royal Warrant. Their baked goods are consistently good, and we should know, as we have been customers for around 50 years. The shop staff, however, are another matter. They range from the very pleasant and helpful to the rude and insolent, and we have experienced it all over the years. It was one of the latter we ran into when we entered the Ceres Road shop today, 23rd of April, just after 3.40pm. The cafe closes at 4 , she informed us before we had even reached the counter.
