"if they like fish, this is their place! the quality is always excellent, fresh and tasty. simply do not go here on a Saturday night and complain that there is no space to get. you say you can sit with someone else if there are chairs on an otherwise occupied table - this is quite common for mainz, simply swimming with the stream and getting to know new people:) the staff is always nice and the service fast there are several great options on their menu and always a menu on the table that usually costs by 10 €. the fish is always perfectly prepared and if they want only a small portion, do not hesitate to ask! Some of the employed speak excellent English, but simply practice their German knowledge if they have them."

we have done spontaneously in this fishing shop with adjoining restaurant next door. the fish is fresh and prepared before spot. highlights: fried fish fillet with potato salad and suppen. all super and cheap, highly recommended! Voir le carte

we were third in the restaurant to the lunch table. lachslasagne, spaghetti with sea tufel and edelfischteller were excellent. super, there are also half portions. a beautiful mainzer restaurant with pleasant guests. the service was very nice. the price-performance ratio is in order. we can recommend the restaurant.

fish eating in mainz - there is a fish jakob right. here there have been the best and freshest fish in mainz for decades - always a high! the staff is always friendly, the dishes are always very good and tasty and the price is moderate. so - who wants to eat in mainz fish is always right with the fish jakob - nix as well!

matjes with kartoffels were ordered. The kartoffels were muddyly watery tasteless. salatsoße tasted mostly after maggi. the housewives soned to the matjes, who was very good, was with a lot of eyes and little content halfway tasty. 40 euro for 2 people for middays is also not currently cheap. for that we sat outside and there it's just too loud. who loves fish comes in mainz, not by fish jakob. a real traditional house. the quality of the food is consistently very good. we had nothing to do with it.The service is very friendly and helpful.A visit is definitely worth it. the restaurant does not claim to belong to the absolute gastronomic topelite. but for that there are honest eating in top quality, which is not important for fish.

Today I had a pleasure on fish, and since I have heard a lot from here I wanted to test it myself. Also the situation is quite good, unfortunately the smell in the restaurant is already very extreme, but well who likes to smell after fish will not disturb it.To eat. pantered fish that unfortunately partly only tasted in fat as after fish, the panda seemed as if my fish wasn't the first one here today in fat, kartoffel salad and remolade were ok.But no 19 € worth.uns I can give here highest one 3 and would not recommend this load further.

"we thought it was time that four years ago opened patagonia in the mainzer neustadt to test. the bus and tram connection is excellent, the parking situation is very difficult. there is an outside area at the restaurant, and the dining room is large and clear. because the guests were distributed outside and inside, the reservation about opentable would not have been necessary. so we were allowed to choose a table and were welcomed by the two ladies in the service friendly. we found a rectangle with a view of a large flatscreen, on which a diashow of pictures ran from patagonia, which first triggered television. steaks are offered in all variations, and the selection is quite difficult. we first took three empanadas with different fillings that relatiw quickly came out of the kitchen and taste very good.My wife decided in the main course for a rumpsteak of the even medium rare with grill potatoes and salad. I had previously researched the card in the internet and asked myself what a flap steak was. wikipedia helped and so I knew it was a cut that is very common in patagonia and comes very close to the us sirloin strip. I wanted to try this and ordered it **** in the bloom. I took a foil potato. both supplements were handed with the obligatory sourcream with coriander. the two supplemental salads were fresh, colourful and crisp, with the carrots also liked as a supplement. Even with critical consideration, the performance was in all respects of expectations: the services were extremely friendly and stood also in the meat selection with rat and did the side. the we chose to be perfectly met. confusingly I found the hints in the menu on the recommended per steak. these were all together and especially between medium and well done. that was not comprehensible for me because of the top quality of meat, all in all a very successful evening with a quite reasonable price-performance ratio. we like to come back to patagonia."
